    Blue or Green Tape

Blue Painters tape for "Multi-surfaces" can leave a residue on some trim but, blue tape for "Delicate surfaces" works great and leaves no residue.

    Super-fine haze / micromaring? help?

It is typical for any aggressive polish or when a polish is not worked in or broken down properly. And yes, OP does take longer to break down then other polishes...try using less product and check a section periodically as the polish break downs (at each change in the polish) until the hazing...

    Confused?

Like MotorCity Honda said, the cut of the orange pad is the cause of the marring...not the CCS pad itself. Working on black or dark non metallic colored cars is a whole different ball game and IMO polishing black is the only way to truely learn and understand how to polish and use a machine...

    Another which pad/polish question

Don't know?? I haven't seen the condition of the paint....I'd start off with FPII/blue pad and go up from there. 106FF has a bit more cut then FPII but there isn't that much difference in cutting with a PC. If you are going to step up, I'd look into getting something like Menzerna IP, Poorboy's...

    Another which pad/polish question

I know...it can get so confusing ...anyway it's still a mild combo & when using this with a PC/UDM it has very little correcting abilities....depending on the severity, you might need to do multiple passes with the UDM.

    Another which pad/polish question

That is a very mild polish/pad combination...I'd use that combo for a finishing pass to remove hazing or very, very light surface marring and bring back the gloss...not for any correction. Try a test area and see if it works. If it's not removing the swirls, slow down your passes and add...

    Flex Problems, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yes, there is a small amount of play in the backing plate, and if the hex screw is tight, it does take some pressure for the backing plate to touch the machine....but if the screw is loose the backing plate does have more play and if pressure is applied will cause it to rub. Thanks, I remember...

    Flex Problems, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Excessive Detail check your hex screw on the backing plate and make sure it's not loose....when I got my Flex, all the screws on mine needed to be tightened. If the backing plate is loose I could see it causing excessive rubbing when pressure is applied. With that being said, I can see if you...

Or even wetsanding...I've had good luck removing stain with 2000 grit paper. +1 for Metallwerks they have great metal polishes and the Aluminum Compound might actually be strong enough to remove the stains. Here is Metallwerks kit at work: Like Budman3 said though, your gonna...

    Photo Shoot

First beautiful model and background  I like the composition in the first few images, but I'm just not feeling the crocked horizon lines in 5-7...IMO it's very distracting and takes away from the shots.

    3M Imperial Hand Glaze

:iagree: I had the same experience with it...only used it a few times because it was such a PITA to remove. I'd use XMT glaze or Clearkote Red Machine Glaze instead.
