Great write up. That is quite a bit of paint to correct. Thats not much of a roof on the Jimmy! I though you were from the PNW originally.

Using Adam's paste wax on my truck versus DP Max Wax I can tell the Adam's has a much deeper and more reflective shine, but costs twice as much (70 dollars). Max is what I use on customers cars unless they want to pay for an upgrade.

There is a difference between a 20 dollar wax and a 70 dollar wax and you can tell.

At 30$ with 15% off its still worth it.

Looks like you ran the pad over the rubber moldings. My pads have NEVER looked like that after buffing a car with a B/C. Claying should remove the contaminants.

I've had good luck with a Flex and purple wool pads (6"). Actually finished down really good on a black subaru.

I would be interested in this too. I've heard like some 90's English cars are really sensitive to watre?

I have some other high end waxes but not everyone wants to pay for them so I'm going to try some lower priced ones.
