XMT or Menzerna for Hard Clear? 370Z

FG400 followed by SF4500 will likely be a winner for dark paint with a hard clear. That's my usual go to for anything that requires heavy correction. And I can vouch for the Nissans and Infinitis that have the "hard clear coat" label on the hood, they aren't lying.

    Spray sealants?

In my experience the first edition of Reload gives about 2-3 months on paint, and about a month on wheels. I haven't tried the 2014 version yet.

    Spray sealants?

I'm happy enough with Reload and HydrO2 that I don't bother trying any other sprays. For a maintenance wash when my priority is speed, I go for HydrO2. It's also great if you're wanting to strip a previous LSP with a decon wash, but no polishing is needed. It dramatically speeds up drying over a...

    Let's talk window tint

Tint does not give PC (probable cause) for anything other than tint. They need something else that's referred to as "incident to the stop" - smell of marijuana, seeing a bag with a leafy sustance in plain view, etc. Or, something found "incident to arrest" - i.e. the LEO had a reason to arrest...

    Neglected $440k Porsche on Yahoo

Damn. Carrera GT is one of my all-time favorites (along with F430 Spyder in charcoal). Hurts to see one like that.

New to detailing, black vehicle questions

Oof. How I would probably approach in progression from least aggressive to more aggressive, depending on how a test spot turned out: Meguiar's D300 on DA Microfiber Cutting Disc Meguiar's M205 on Lake Crystal White or Orange Pad Menzerna FG400 or Meguiar's M105 on Lake Crystal Yellow or Orange...

    New vehicle delivery questions

If there is a dealer badge, they're usually fairly easy to remove (heat gun or hair dryer to warm the adhesive, followed by dental floss or fishing line to remove it).

    Let's talk window tint

That ticket can be easily challenged. All you have to do is show up in court with proof that you own the vehicle, it is registered in a state that allows that level of tint, and the law that covers that.

    Rim Wax?

I tried multiple types of wheel\rim wax before and never found them worth the effort. CarPro Reload, HydrO2, and CQuartz, on the other hand, are worth their weight in gold. A power washer and foam cannon is enough to clean chrome, clearcoated, and aluminum wheels that are coated.

    Very Frustrated w/Water Spots

Menzerna FG400 or Meguiar's D300 are good options too.

Working on a Black Honda Pilot with 63k miles of tar and road grime down each side. Best product to use besides belt sander :)

Agred with Stoner Tarminator or CarPro Tar-X. Tar-X would probably be more economical because you're going to need a LOT.

Reload Streaks No Matter What I Try

It hasn't been proven - "it follows" implies "it would make sense". They're all silica-based coatings, and all perform similarly in terms of characteristics.

Reload Streaks No Matter What I Try

You wait an hour for CQuartzUK before applying Reload, so it follows the same approximate time period would work for OC, 22ple, etc.

Reload Streaks No Matter What I Try

Yes, it is. You don't really want to use a silica-based coating on top of a wax or sealant. You're better off stripping that LSP off.

    Hello from Minneapolis

Welcome to the forum! I claim Mankato as home. Wife is a native, and I spent 10 years there after college before I joined the Army. Good work on the Focus. Might try Menzerna PF2500 or FF3000 as a first step when you decide to give it another go.
