I made a bit of a mistake writing M1...Its a BMW 118d Steptronic M sport version + some extra toys and without badges. Its a very nice car...but very unpractical and too expensive for my taste. You could get a lot more of a car for 35.000 EUR.

Gloss coat really is super easy. Funny enough I find Gloss coat easier to use than Opti-seal. I too have a bottle of Cancoat which I bought 2 weeks ago. I quickly used it on a scrap panel and its very easy to use. Spray on MF towel, apply on the panel, flip the MF towel and buff after 1min...

Rinseless like ONR should be perfect for this occasion infact a waterless should also remove rain spots with ease without damaging paint if done properly.

Power clean at 1:5 is very strong. I think its gonna remove the sealant.

A simple hand wash will do it for some time but many manufacturers suggest you de-iron and clay the car every 6 or 12 months. That should revive the coating.

You can do a one bucket wash with normal shampoos too...one bucket with grit guard, water and shampoo...pre-rinse one panel...wash one panel...rinse the mitt and panel...dry the panel. About this product...I too dont see the point but the same was probarbly said about ONR when it first came...

If you get dusting that means 2 things: 1) you are using too high of a speed and/or too much pressure...you dont need that. The pad and polish gets hot and when it gets hot and when it gets hot it dusts up. Lower speed, less pressure, pad priming and a spritz of QD or water on the pad can help...

Like Setec mentioned Smartwax is CG turf and product. Its a micro abrassive finishing polish more like a paint cleanser so I dont believe it thats what is to blame. One problem could be grit or dust on the pad. Another problem could be dust or smaller hard particles on the paint. When I work...
