I would place a few layers of towel on a counter, place the damp pads on the towels, and then top it off with another layer or towels to make a sandwich, and then use a short pipe and roll it on the pad-wich with all your weight. Or roll them through a towel wringer: Chamois/Towel Wringer

I understood what you meant, but i figure a sealant is pretty easy to use and doesnt actually need a test, because it will probably work as intended. Unlike swirl removing and polishing, which can actually damage the paint, or just be ineffective, with bad technique.
