pdqgp is correct, an extractor is "best". However as long as you don't over saturate you can soak up with a towel, followed up with a good vacuuming.

If it is what is circled (poorly) in blue, then this looks like 'haze' that can be fixed with a fine polish. If it is what is in green those appear to be deeper scratches that could potentially be removed with compound. Having never used Chemical Guys products, I can't offer much help in...

Haven't used as many different polishes as most on here, but I've never found a reason to step away from M205 + M21 or Ultimate Wax. Forgot to add Meguiar's M80 is terrific for darks if you can find some.

From the best I can tell it looks almost "water stained". Is there a 'dirty' ring surrounding the discoloration? Perhaps the "protectant" darkened the fabric. You could try using the product again on a inconspicuous area, if you get the same discoloration.

Hmmmm..... I've heard of the scotch guard cleaner just plain not working, but, never streaking. Would be interested in seeing pictures. My best suggestion would be rent an extractor.

M205 + Ultimate Wax has rarely failed me. I believe (I'm sure someone else Knows) Ultimate polish is the retail equivalent of 205, but breaks down easier under hand or random orbital application.

Thanks for all the replies! It sounds like the consensus is "WETS" provides what I am looking for, at least for the trim. Is the Blackfire trim sealant pretty close to the wolfgangs? Looks like they are both mfg by Autogeek/PBMG.
