    Griots 3" DA

From my experience the 4 inch pads are too big. The polisher will not oscillate with those pads. Stick to the Griot's pads.

Just bought my first Makita 9227C and need some advice...

Folks, I could use a little help. During the New Year's Eve sale I finally broke down and purchased quite a few new tools. With this being my first rotary polisher I really do not know what pads to buy. Currently I have the 6.5" and 4" CCS pads. These are used with my Griot's and Flex ROP's...

    How did you get trained?

#2 I have always enjoyed detailing my vehicles and it has expanded into a part-time business. While I may have acquired tools and products I do considerable myself far from being a professional. One of the first things that I learned after joining this forum was how much I did not know. I...

    Interior cleaning product recommendation?

For the majority of interior cleaning I prefer OPC (Optimum Power Clean). Normally it is diluted 3:1 and can be used on everything. For sport cleaning carpets my go to product is Folex. This stuff is fantastic and can be found at Home Depot of Bed Bath & Beyond. I have used DP Total Interior...

Is it worth to have the Flex 3401?

I am a part time detailer and do not own a rotary and can not speak on that matter. However, I own a Flex 3401 and it is one of the best purchases I have made. It is used on every detail. Personally I prefer the forced rotation and find it very easy to use. In fact, there is less vibration...

Griot's Customer Service is 1st Class all the way!!!!

I had a similar experience with them. Unfortunately, I dropped my Griot's 6" buffer and broke the handle. I called the company and was told they did not stock this part anymore since the new and improved (hence, more powerful) buffer was being sold by the company. Like you, I was directed to...

    One hella of a guy

Folks, I must admit that I was very surprised to find this post. It is most kind of Ron to post it, but it was not my intention for this to happen. After reading it the second time I even got a little bit teary-eyed. As I have gotten older, I try to be more humble and to be of service. It's...

Ron, Dno't see my response from earlier and will write it again. First, the day was not bad. I did decide on the Mytee Lite II 8070. While talking to the guy I bought the steamer from, he confirmed that he has one and it is very adequate for what I will be doing. Washed my truck and a...
