I've used the 3m undercoating 3 years ago to redo the rear wheel wells in my 98 Mustang after degreasing and cleaning it very good. Then I applied 2 coats and the end result is a brand new finish. As far as the frame goes I have never used it for that I would use a product like POR 15, Chassis...

CG microfiber wash has been the only thing I have used so I have nothing to compare it to. I pre soak in a 5 gallon bucket of warm water for about 15 minutes then pull them out and ring them and toss in a clean bucket to carry to the washing machine and then dry on the cool setting. (Question)...
