    Glass Cleaner

Andy, please pass on to your wife my thanks for the tip. I never considered using that on the stainless, but will probably clean the kitchen more often knowing I can just go grab this out of the garage!

    Need help for nasty carpets!

Thanks, gentlemen. The car here overnight, so I will rinse them again, thoroughly, extract slowly, and then place them on a dryer rack in the machine, air only. Now that I think about it, I sprayed the worst spots with 303 and then didn't get back to them last night. Started the process again...

Roll Call! Who drives a MANUAL transmission?

Old thread, I know, but fun thread! Heck yeah I drive a manual. I was the only kid at driver's ed who didn't know how to drive an automatic. My 16 yo is currently learning on the Z, and Ipray that my clutch withstands it. However, I had a very good discussion with the tech at the...

    Need help for nasty carpets!

Mike, help! I'm working on a well-loved, well-used Explorer, and the carpets were pretty bad. I pulled them out, shot some 303 on them, scrubbed them, steamed them, cleaned with Folex, steamed them, extracted and extracted. Finally just hit them with the garden hose and extracted even more...

Your preferred method for detailing expensive wheels?

Interesting dialogue, gentlemen. Nice wheels, Shadow536! Enjoy them. Please, know how to set your tire pressure correctly, too. I was talking to a young Marine recently about his great wheels while we were at the gas station air hose. Ends up he had no idea what pressure to put in the tires and...

Need a favor from a GG6 owner that has a decibel meter app

Hear, hear! ( literally!) Dealing with USMC hearing conservation program for long time, have to remember that this thought process should apply to everything we do. Kevin, thank you so much for an excellent posting.

    Using IronX properly- avoid brakes/calipers??

Good information. Thank you. Not an issue on this vehicle, but I will certainly run into it in the future, and take proper precautions. Running short on time, so sticking with the clay today. Very satisfying tactile response.

    Using IronX properly- avoid brakes/calipers??

Good afternoon. Quick question for the forum: I picked up some IronX at the last sale, and right now I'm claying an '04 Explorer that has really only been washed at the car wash for years. Thought I would go over it with the IronX as the next step, before compounding. While all of the pictures...

    Hello from sunny San Diego

YES! Lighting (or lack thereof) was a big part of what got me all fired up! Working nights on the car with every and any lamp I could come up with was a PIA. An entire evening was spent reviewing loads of others' lighting experiences, and talked to Larry K. the next morning about his new...

looking to go back and try a coating

OP, Maybe I'll stop by their shop (Modern Image) this week and see what they've been working on and what they've been using. They do mostly films on exotics but I'm not sure the variety of coatings that they use. If I do, I'll let you know what I find.

looking to go back and try a coating

OP, I've never used a coating but CQuartz UK was recommended to me by the guys who put the clear bra on the Mas. With your comment, can I ask: are you saying it fees "grabby" to you when compared to a freshly polished surface? Or compared to other coatings, or compared to a freshly waxed...
