    What am I in for?

I'm doing the car with Greg and I have a small 2 ounce sample of #83 from Detail Fest but I don't think that will be enough to do the whole car. I am getting my Makita in the mail today, but I don't really want to use that on a customers car for the first time. lol Hopefully we can get it...

    Clay Residue

I find that if I go past a section with proper lube it leaves a hazy residue on the paint. It seems to clay right back off, but if it doesn't a light polish should take care of it.

    Aquawax..a sealant?

I agree with Surfer. I top my car with AW to pop the shine just a touch more. The slickness lasts longer then any other QD/Spraywax that I have ever used. I get atleast 3-4 washes before the slickness goes away. Plus the beading is crazy. I love AW.

    help with compounding haze

OP takes care of any marring that I have. It finishes down perfect on a white or orange pad. Any time I use OC, no matter what pad, I always follow with OP/White to take care of marring from the OC.

    help with compounding haze

My car has a pretty soft clear and mars easily. If I use OC/LC white then I get very minor marring, almost unnoticeable. OP/LC orange will finish down perfectly and remove 99% of my swirls. If I have to use OC anytime I always follow up with a pass of OP/LC white. I removes any fine hazing or...

I will agree with you that the lip was crazy. I have never seen one that was even close to that. I like the coupe more with its carbon fibre roof

    Detail Fest 2007

The "dish" is the massive lip that on the outside of those rims. That car was ruined with those rims. They probably weigh 100lbs each and totally destroyed the speed and handling of the M6. I would only go lighter on rims on a sports car like that, not 2x the weight. But to each their own.

    Noob seeking advice...

Wolfgang, Pinnacle, and DP (all made by AG) are all fantastic lines. I use mostly Pinnacle and DP for my work. I have some other stuff mixed in. But if I was limited to only those 3 lines you would have quite the quality detailing line up.

The More Coats Of Wax The Better????????

    Noob seeking advice...

On my car Optimum polish on an orange/lc pad will take care of every swirl on painted metal. On my plastic I have to step up to Opt Compound on an orange pad to even make a dent in the swirls and I have used OC on a yellow pad to take care of swirls on my plastic. Maybe try something a little...

The More Coats Of Wax The Better????????

Most people seem to agree that after 2-3 coats you aren't going to gain much. You might gain a little depth, but the cost of wax and time spend applying vs. the gain would not make it worthwhile.

    Which CLAY??

Just put your hand in a zip-loc bag and run it over the paint slowly, feeling with your fingertips. You will discover that you need to clay the car. That's the only way you can feel the stuff inbedded in your paint.
