    Rupes LK 900E Mille & LH 19E

Yessir.. to our knowledge we are the only company in the world that engineers and manufacturers our own motors - both high tech electric and pneumatic as well as the upcoming DC, backing plates (actually a very big deal when it comes to building sanders), pads, compounds, etc. Not only has the...

    Rupes LK 900E Mille & LH 19E

Thanks for your feedback thus far. We are excited by the potential of these tools and their matching systems to be industry leaders. RUPES biggest industry is automotive... by far. We are not a tool manufacturer who happens to make tools, we are directly attached to the automotive market...

    China Pads VS the Rest

Chinese made pads are often higher-quality than far more complex things like Chinese-made tools. ;)

    Very Displeased with Ibrid

Your post did not come across as "RUPES bashing" at all. You have EVERY RIGHT to be frustrated as you spent good money on tool, and you have realistic expectations of product durability. We will make this right. I truly am sorry to hear about your experience, as a customer who has been...

Menzerna/Sonax drying, pitching polish balls, hazing, stumped. Please help :(

Valky! Nice CALL :) As soon as I read the description, I was thinking sticky paint. I think you are spot on and think your reasoning and explanations are spot on! Agreed. This was my other thought. The tool choice here is the wrong choice. I would't recommend any gear-driven tool (unless...

Lamborghini Gallardo Rough Paint Tips Needed

The paint on most Gallardos is very hard. Those look like pretty good isolated scratches. How important is it for you to remove them? Because Gallardos have composite bodies, I prefer to remove deep scratches by sanding, and then polishing after that.

    Mr Sizzle Chest

Great guy! I have his phone number and can share it with anybody who would like it, if you promise to call him anytime you feel like it would be convenient for you to do so.

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

Oxidation can be quite deep - as you remove the damaged paint it needs somewhere to go. This is why wool pads, with their increased surface area, can be so effective. RUPES will be launching specifically designed wool pads, tuned and balanced for the Mille, which should be the answer on those...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

RUPES does not sell factory direct. When I say "we sold out", I mean to distributors and sales points - the guys you would order from. I don't have a date for availability in the USA, but my understanding is the first run is for Euro-volt and the second run is for USA-volt. I have been told...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

The initial run has already sold out, seriously. The amount ordered at Autopromac was more than 4 times the global expected sales. Today, RUPES sales in the USA is greater on our slowest month, than it was my first year with the company... and it will only get crazier with the new factory...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

Compared to other forced rotation polishers, the Mille was designed to have world class ergonomics and class-leading user experience. It's not just the rotational direction, but the orbit size and the frequency of orbits. In addition, the pad system and new polishing compounds were designed...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

"RSW: I found that interesting, particularly regarding how the friction of the bearing creating forced rotation. It would be possible to introduce a lot of forced rotation by making putting some friction into the interface between the backing plate and the shaft. It would be possible to...

Nothing yet, the Mille and Rotary have not been released.

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

The sole purpose of the Mark II wasn't too improve pad rotation, although it was a focus of course. This is because rotation benefits the process, it just isn't necessary. To Jason's defense, that video was shot days after he started with RUPES, and was in Italy for his initial training...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

The BigFoot pads are fairly stiff foams to maximize the transfer of energy to the paint for effective polishing with minimal heat loss. However, the BigFoot pads aren't too thin (because a lot of attention was paid to the specific foam formulas). The height of our pads does help with balancing...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

I 100% percent agree with the following points A) You should always be a student - I am so lucky to be surrounded by the engineers at RUPES, to be involved in technical discussions, and to have Jason Rose as a mentor. I have also had the benefit of working alongside some educational...

Flex 3401 vs. Rupes Mille/Makita P5000C, for those that are wondering.

There isn't a magic switch which flips at 9mm, it's a sliding scale. The less the diameter of the orbit, the more dependent the tool becomes of rotational movement. A tool produces movement which, with a proper pad, can be converted to mechanical action on the paint's surface. If you have...

New RUPES Tools + New Pads + New Product!

Yes. RUPES first innovated the double-gear reduction rotary with the LHR18. The benefits of this style is that you can double the torque (2 to 1 reduction like a transmission) and double the motor speed (better cooling). The new LHR19 is also a gear reduction rotary, and utilizes a...
