That much of a difference? I guess I'll call around if my first choice place won't do ss. Not quite that long... it's older than I am. ;)

    Need repaint advice

Hi guys, I recently managed to crunch up the corner of my Miata; long story short I'm replacing the front bumper cover and fender. I'm concerned with getting a decent paint match though, this car has it's original 22 year old single stage paint. I've heard that it's almost impossible to find...

05 STi in WRB, exterior detail (lots of pictures)

Looks amazing! That color is absolutely gorgeous!! (I'm a bit biased, both my cars are blue :)) I agree that the little details really make the whole job, less than perfect headlights look awful to me. :dblthumb2:

    Plain masking tape?

Don't use regular masking tape for autocross numbers... boy that was a pain to get all the residue off!! :o

1991 Mazda Miata - 53k 1993 Mazda Miata - 165k Yep, two! Bought the 93 to fix & flip. Looking to pick up an Integra once it's gone to replace the 91 for daily duty - going to college and winter saltiness are coming up!

    Washing Microfiber Towels

To add to this question, is it ok to wash towels with old wax and dried polish, etc. in the washer, without risk of getting residue all over the washer? My mom doesn't want me to mess up her washer, and I've got a big stack of dirty towels, ha. Is regular laundry detergent ok?

Why aren't these scratches coming out?

Thanks for the input guys. I did test spots, but this was the most aggressive combo I had. The transformation from dull to shiny was too appealing, so I had to go ahead and do the whole car (it's a Miata, not a big deal!). Plus, I bought it to flip, it's a 93 with 165k and the paint is chipping...

Why aren't these scratches coming out?

It's a LC yellow flat pad. I didn't think any more cut would be necessary for this but I guess I might have to go shopping (again) and step it up.

Why aren't these scratches coming out?

I'm working with some severely oxidized single stage paint, a ten year old crappy Maaco job. Today I compounded it with Megs UC on a LC yellow pad on my Harbor Freight DA. It did a pretty good job removing the oxidation, it's actually shiny now instead of a matte finish! However, this fairly...

    Cleaned up my Miata

Rust proofing, huh? Makes sense, the car also has a non-factory rubbery undercoating. I'll have to figure of how to get it off, I looks awful on the rubbers and Plastics. The car never sees salt anyway.
