This works for me, too. Pads and towels. I pre-soak soiled towels for 24 hours in APC, that helps with any stains.

Mike, I agree. I had the same question when I started out. I decided on the Flex 3401, then as I learned more and did more work ($$), I picked up a couple more, like the Porter Cable and the 3" Griot's. I also picked up the cordless Griot's last Christmas and am quite happy with that as well...

I usually don't have a problem on maintenance washes. By maintenance, I mean that vehicle has been previously detailed and some sort of coating or sealant was used on the wheels. So when I do the maintenance, there isn't much real cleaning to do. If you do need to perform heavy cleaning...

Agree. Even though you just did the vehicle, you have to do a fair amount of work. Since it seems your customer realizes the value of your work, i think this is fair. If you want to add a little extra, maybe to a quick cosmetic detail on the engine for free. Probably take only 15 minutes or so.

Finally got things going to do my first true self-contained mobile detail. This was a waterless wash maintenance detail on a vehicle I had previously meticulously cleaned a few weeks ago. For now, this will be my template, and my beetle will be my detail "truck". Worked out really well...
