Not just a business, but making a living!

Hmm, I just found there is a "Next Level Auto Detail LLC" in Arizona, I am "Next Level Automotive Detailing" in Michigan. I do not have a DBA yet (soon though) will this be a concern for me or will I be ok if I choose to continue and actually register that name here in Michigan with the name...

Yup, the personal like just showed up. I guess a "like" from a page doesn't count LOL Learn something new every day!

Not just a business, but making a living!

Odd for sure, it does show on your page, yet I didn't get any notification of it and still the same number of likes. Maybe a page can like a page but it doesn't count as a "like" LOL who knows....

Not just a business, but making a living!

Thanks for the compliments on the page! The "like" didn't show up, but not a big deal LOL I plan to have a folder for all the pics of one car alone after I do some more in the spring, so I hope it will be even better then.

Not just a business, but making a living!

No worries on the rant, trust me, I am not looking to do this overnight, looking more for a few years yet down the road, and not even saying 100% sure I am going to do it at all, just getting more information exploring possible options as it always helps :) As for going to a bigger shop, I am...

Not just a business, but making a living!

Currently I work full time and make ok money for the area ~$55,000 / year. However, to make that money I am working in a shop as a machine operator and in the summer it gets about 110 degrees in there and is overall miserable even on the super easy days. I have been detailing as a hobby now...

How often do you change pads during a detail?

I usually use 5 or 6 5.5" CCS pads per step, or at least clean my pad thoroughly every other panel. I find that it makes for a much easier time polishing as the pads cut faster and cleaner leaving less imperfections behind to go over again.

The Uber expensive waxes...what are they REALLY?

Not to hijack, but I have 226,000 miles on my 2003 Bonneville, been doing 10,000 mile oil changes on it since I bought it 5 years ago with 125,000 miles. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic and do NOT take it easy onto it... several trips to the drag strip, wide open throttle every time I drive it...

The Uber expensive waxes...what are they REALLY?

I know that isn't directed at me, and I am not wanting to jump in and get a free sample, however, I would love to see a side by side comparison between those waxes, and Souveran or Fuzion. If you guys do this, I would love to take the drive down for a day to meet, visit, and maybe change my views.
