The Uber expensive waxes...what are they REALLY?

Here is my take.... On a properly prepped car I don't think that 95% of the people will be able to tell the difference between fuzion, souveran, maxwax, carbon, royale or any waxes really. I remember a test done a couple years ago, I believe on a Ferrari, where different waxes were tested...

    Wally World stepping up.....

Local Wal Mart here in Midland has Surf City stuff but I haven't seen anything else there, however I rarely go in there as I really can't stand Wal Mart. I very much prefer Meijer.

What's the strangest thing you've ever found?

Years ago I had two 1982 Grand Prixs and I wanted to swap interiors. When I removed the dash out of the parts car I found two small sandwich bags with a tiny bit of weed in them, who knows how old it was but there was holes chewed in it from mice LOL Thats the strangest thing I have come...

    What WAS your favorite product/methods

Back in high school (around 1999 - 2000) I had a friend that went all out on his early 90's Grand Am - new paint job, custom interior, air bag suspension... the car looked really good and was tastefully modded. He once talked to me about he was going to spend the whole weekend doing a Mothers...

    Looking for Pad Advice.

I have been using the CCS 5.5" for a couple years now and love them. I have tried a few flat pads and while they are much smoother to work with, they don't seem to cut nearly as well as a clean CCS.

Chevy SS HHR by Superior Auto Design (South Florida)

That turbo 2.0 is one nasty little motor, it is capable of some pretty impressive numbers stock and crazy power when modded.

Chevy SS HHR by Superior Auto Design (South Florida)

I have always had a little sweet spot for those things, the SS only though. I really like the blacked out look still, even though so many people anymore think it is played out.

Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

Most of the stuff mentioned on the first 10 pages of this thread really might not matter anymore as this is a 5 year old thread ;) That said, I was lucky enough to have some good guidance from here and a friend that showed me the good stuff right away as soon as I got into detailing so I really...

Post your spray bottle of choice!

Odd seeing you guys having problems with the spraymaster bottles. I wonder if their quality has gone down hill since I bought mine? I have had mine now for about 2.5 years, one with Megs Wheel Brightener, one with Purple Power degreaser, and another with APC and I have never rinsed the...

    What is your dream car??

Close, but the Grand National used a buick 3.8 turbo. GM did use a 4.3 turbo engine in the early '90s though in the GMC Cyclone and Typhoon. Two more vehicles I would love to own!

Who's gotta sprayer that Wheel Brightener won't destroy

Another fan of the SprayMaster bottle here. I have had Megs Wheel Brightener in mine for about two years now without issue.

My UDM is fixed up again

Picked up a UDM from here a few years ago from all the hype it received, of course, I then found out shortly after about all the problems everyone was having with theirs with brushes and switch issues. I have used my UDM on 30 or so details as well as a couple boats including my dad's 32'...

    Showing off my new toy

The trans is a 200-4R with a TransGo Performance shift calibration kit in it, I love it! Chirps second quite often on dry pavement, on wet pavement you better hold on even taking it easy. I actually won't use a TH350 or TH400. I like to drive my cars, and with that, I like to be able to...

    Showing off my new toy

Wow, ouch on that trans! I know the 280H is a small cam, 231/231 @ .050 " duration .480"/.480" lift. The Trick Flow heads I have are Kenny Duttweiller signature series CNC profiled heads, 195cc intake runners, 64cc combustion chambers 2.02" intake 1.60" exhaust valves, angle plug heads...

    Showing off my new toy

I was very upset, but it is my carb that is killing me. It is way to small for the engine it sits on top of. It is only a 600 CFM and is not tuned, I actually need a 725 - 750 and after tuning it I should be in the mid 13s. My time slips showed that the bottom end is extremely strong, but it...
