Mike, I also had the same thing happen to me with the Girots DA Polisher when we were working on the MGB last 2 weeks ago.

Looks like everyone had fun :) I didn't make it today since, for some reason my IPhone alarm didn't go off. So I didn't wake up till 9:30am. I'll just have to sign up for the next one in two weeks :)

    Tornador Cleaning Tool

:iagree: I had the same problem with the Foam Gun, its not a good tool for doing the outside since it is a dry foam and it was useless to me for the inside cause I use a carpet extractor I sold it a month ago. The Interior one looked interesting but it seem like a product I could live without.

I hear ya on that one, you have to wonder who at VW would have thought putting a rubber coating on high contact surfaces would be a good idea. People ask me what they can do and I give them three options: Peel off the remaining rubber, get new parts, or do nothing. Also on a side note, for those...

    Makita 9227c or a Flex lk603vvb

They are both great machines. I've used both and ended up getting the Flex. The Flex has the same build quality as the Makita. The Makita has a speed range of 600rpm to 3000rpm. The Flex has a speed range of 1000rpm-3000rpm. Im sure there are people who will tell you that you need the low speed...

    Best Carpet Extractors Under $1500

Plus 1 for the Aztec! :props: I use the metro vac and blow before the aztec. Aztec doesn't have a filter and its not designed to be used as a vacuum, its purpose is only to suck up water in the carpet.

5" and 6" Backing Plates on 6.5" pads (Pictures to show safety margin)

Kinda wish The Edge DA blacking plate still had that design it looks like it would be easy to tell how if the pad is spinning on a DA with the white and orange color mix.

    da on single stage

Depends on many factors. Size of the car, depth of the defects, type of paint, what kind of correction work the owner wanted to achieve. If it took you 8 hours I would have to assume you were going for a flawless finish. I would then have to say you would have needed to use something more...

    1-Step vs 3-Steps

I didn't even realize you took that video with an iphone 3GS, which in itself says a lot cause the quality was good especially the frame rate. :props: Side note: I used to be in the broadcasting industry for a bit, we used 3CCD camera's and I used to hate using a home camera after what I used in...
