Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

March 14, 2019 Well I looked stupid taking the photos so far in this set. Standing in pouring rain lol. Last time I did this, someone asked if someone hit my parked car [emoji23]. Had a torrential downpour, was parked in it, drove about 5 miles in it today. Parked again in it to capture more...

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

I'm almost at 1 month with no issues with CMX on bare paint and i did a panel wipe before. Just to ensure it bonded. I would love to do some family cars with an AIO like speed or 360 and top with CMX.

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Just looking through photos on my phone. The night photo is with nothing on the glass and after a heavy rainstorm. The daytime photo is after, with CMX on windshield, during a rainstorm.

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

March 13, 2019 So as an update, after the touchless wash saw this on CMX side. May have nothing to do with the CMX. Seems like needs a good Iron remover. Possible this was there before or picked up while driving. Keep in mind with the city driving, there is alot of salt, grime, new...

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

March 11, 2019 Took car to my usual touchless car wash, one of the ones that's newer and in better condition. Due to salt and grime I needed the undercarriage spray. Unfortunately it includes some Blue Corral foam option, NO Rainx or Armorall wax option was chosen. Both sides seemed to bead...

    1st Use: Megs HCW

I personally havent used it, but have read/seen on YouTube using a wet MF towel thats wrung out to apply it. Also appears to need more pressure than some of the spray and rinse type products I've seen. Keep in mind once again based on videos I've seen. I've thought about buying HCW to mix...

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

Thank for this information as I was not aware! Very helpful and good to know. From the photos and experiences, this seems like a winner. I'll pick some up when I can thoroughly wash my tires. This is great for us waterless/rinseless wash guys.

    $10.00 hand car wash/detailers

I see you have a 9 year old VW with 170K miles. Detail it (should already be), go to a car show. Park so people can see your car, find a nice car with swirls and other paint defects. Park next to it. Walk around, talk to other car folk and be friendly. Find the ones who are enthusiasts and love...

    $10.00 hand car wash/detailers

So, sometimes I would run company cars or long term rentals through car washes. The ones where they take it through swirlmatic, once out 5 guys jump and hand dry, wipe jams, clean windows, armor all insides and shine tires for about $25 to $35. Now mind you, this was a crappy job. A lot of...

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

You will notice the top of rear bumper, by trunk opening is only place where beading is impacted. Appears to be uneven on both sides. Also this is the dirtiest part. I will wash with N914 at some point and see if it restores beading.

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Mar 9, 2019 Rained a lot and very windy. Both sides of paint seemed to still have tight beading! CMX was a success on windshield. Water flys off starting at approximately 40MPH! No issues with wipers either. I'm loving this stuff for the $20 price tag. See attached photo for water behavior...
