    I’ve tried Beadmaker...

I havent used it and dont plan on it, but check Forensic detailing on YouTube. He did a very thorough comparison along with gloss readings. It seems to have a lot of gloss but fell short in every other category. Thank you for the test Eld. Can someone compare this toLucas Oil Slick mist...

Semi Permanent Tire Coating Face Off

Thank you so much for the update! I do wonder if the rain during second coat, a long with wheel cleaner damaged the Opt? Hard for me to tell a difference on my little phone screen. Thank you again for taking the time to do this thorough test.

    Whats your favorite swirl remover?

Also I think you are in the suburbs. Find a good touchless wash with no brushes or clothes. And buy a rinseless/waterless wash kit and do that. I had a brand new white car and owned it for 4 years. Always hand washed by me. The day I went to trade it in because my new car had arrived, I...

    Superglue on paint

How much did you get on paint? A photo may help if you have one. If you have the bottle/brand, perhaps try calling the company. Acetone should remove it. As I mentioned earlier cyanoacrylate, is dissolved with acetone. Unless the glue/brand you have is based off something else? What kind of...

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Well looks like rain washed off both sides pretty well to include the hood. Wanted to wash but supposed to rain again tonight and tomorrow all day.

    Superglue on paint

Superglue is a cyanoacrylate based adhesive. I once had an accident and caused superglue to spill all over my hands and get glued to the item I was trying to fix. Nail polish remover, acetone saved me haha. I've removed superglue from a vehicle before using acetone, dipping a Qtip and wiping...

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Hahahahahah omg I'd heard of F11 here and there. I just went and watched videos of this horrible scam shilly claims. You know I wouldn't be surprised if this friend had heard of F11 and hence tried it that way!

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

I agree with you. I would call this a over the counter coating lite. It did have amazing beading and hydrophobic properties on paint initially. That seems to have reduced, but it is still there and working. I do think it is doing better than most of these other coating lites I read about like...

    Sonax Polymer Net Shield

I agree with the advice given by all the great members here. The polishing will help add some gloss and then reapply PNS. If you really want to prolong PNS and add more gloss, pick up Sonax Brilliant Shine detailer. Which is more of a spray sealant and lasts 1 to 3 months easy on a well...

    technique vs tool selection

Technique is good but at some point you may need some more help and need to save time. Going from using a PC 7424 for 13 years to a Boss 21 saved me a lot of time on major jobs, a long with way less fatigue. If you have good technique and perfect with a PC, imagine a machine with a 21mm throw...

scraps in black rubber bumper cover

Clean area and whole bumper with an APC, dry and apply some kind of trim protectant and just live with it. Should cover it well enough to hide it. One of those trim coatings or semi permanent products.

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

April 7, 2019 Today is day 50. Got some light rain earlier while out and passing rains. Got some very very heavy downpours today. Went driving in it for science and you guys. Current observations CMX is still there and beading, just that it's become irregular on some panels. Before I applied...

What do most people use as drying aid and touchup for Sonax Polymer Net Shield?

This You can still easily go 3 months without topping it. BSD does darken and add more gloss along with refresh PNS. See my thread in signature. I'm at 50 days today and PNS is going very strong, not needing a boost. It's also usually the salt and snow grime that starts to inhibit its beading.

Question regarding 3 in 1 products

I'll third this. The 3 in 1s you mentioned are cheap enough to try out. I'll probably try out the Megs once its warmer and top it with HCW to see how it does. It will be cool if you want to to experiment and try them out, I'd stick to same brand since I'm sure theres some chemical synergy...

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

Just to add, Mothers has been very receptive and communicative with me. Forrest reached out to me and passed me the information of thier brand director. I had a great chat with Shane from Mothers, who took his time with me. They were aware of the thread and so are thier chemists. He was very...
