Also since you have a newer truck, use Ech2o for a waterless wash. Will wipe up nicely and leave a very nice deep gloss on black trim and paint. You can then wipe the bay down with CMX. I tend to use up all my "out dated" products in engine bay and wheel wells to use them up.

Did you do any prep? Just to add, I prepped all surfaces with N914 at panel prep dilution. For front windshield, I also did a IPA wipedown. My rear and side windows beaded well in rain along with sunroof. YMMV

Ech2o adds a decent amount of gloss and is Si02 based. Itll last me a couple of rainstorms. I just always wash with ech2o and use it at QD strength too for quick wipedowns. On my car when new, no LSP and no beading, it lasted me 2 rainstorms.

I agree with you, no new products that are ground breaking for me . I'm testing out CMX vs PNS Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test If CMX doesn't fare well, I'll stick to PNS and BSD or possibly try UK3.0 which seems best bang for my situation.

I would stick to a high quality sealant or maybe even move to a coating. How capable are they of maintaining? I'd be cautious of them using a QD, unless you explain and teach them how to use it. If they are pretty busy, perhaps find a detailer to maintain it?

Oh wow that's not good. Mine seems to be doing ok, but has not seen any rain or snow recently. I may just do a quick touchless car wash to see how it does. Its been 2 weeks and last rain it saw it performed well. I hate running my comparison test because I love washing with Ech2o!

I watched the video when it came out so dont remember all the details. Mine have been worse, I usually heavily soak them with my waterless/rinseless wash. Then wipe with a microfiber. They get clean but not the dark black sheen when new. I then usually will follow up with some Sonax PNS. ANY...
