    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

Thank you for this. If you don't test or compare your products, against others, how do you know how yours does in comparison to others in the market?

Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test

So it may rain tomorrow and I wanted to see how my windshield would do. I took a spray bottle filled with tap water and sprayed the driver side liberally and the passenger side lightly. I went for a drive. The drivers side with heavier water shed at approximately 35 to 40 mph. You can see the...

    Subaru WRX Paint Issues

That's very nice of you to come ask on behalf of your daughters bf. I've never heard of the line they said about no wax. Either they fed some BS or he is just plain lazy lol.

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

Sorry I may have come off wrong, so far I love CMX and it has NOT been downgraded for me. I meant all my older spray waxes (Megs UQW which I have a lot of) and other waxes will get used under the hood and wheel wells. I would like to see how CMX and Ech2o do as well. Honestly with ease of...

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

Also since you have a newer truck, use Ech2o for a waterless wash. Will wipe up nicely and leave a very nice deep gloss on black trim and paint. You can then wipe the bay down with CMX. I tend to use up all my "out dated" products in engine bay and wheel wells to use them up.

Pro Detailers that started later in their careers

Thank for the point regarding PPE! Everyone should invest in good disposable gloves and a respirator. I see so many people and especially these new tangled YouTube experts cleaning wheels and apply cermaic coatings with no gloves or respirators! Just remember, if it's on your skin, it's in...

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

Did you do any prep? Just to add, I prepped all surfaces with N914 at panel prep dilution. For front windshield, I also did a IPA wipedown. My rear and side windows beaded well in rain along with sunroof. YMMV

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

Ech2o adds a decent amount of gloss and is Si02 based. Itll last me a couple of rainstorms. I just always wash with ech2o and use it at QD strength too for quick wipedowns. On my car when new, no LSP and no beading, it lasted me 2 rainstorms.

    Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

See my thread, I applied to all windows, panoramic sunroof, rear windshield. Most recently to my front windshield. It has not rained to see how the front does, but did ok on rest of glass. I did order Griots Garage glass sealant from last sale and get it today lol. I debated between all the...

Pro Detailers that started later in their careers

I'm not a fulltime or part time detailer. I dont detail for money, I do my family and friends cars here and there. Often to test new products and my skill. My car is almost perfect, so I have no reason to bust out the PC or the GG21 lol. I will say life is short, do something you will love to...

I'm resisting buying any more detailing products

I agree with you, no new products that are ground breaking for me . I'm testing out CMX vs PNS Mothers CMX vs Sonax Polymer Net Shield long term durability test If CMX doesn't fare well, I'll stick to PNS and BSD or possibly try UK3.0 which seems best bang for my situation.

Car washing for a busy person in the bay area

I would stick to a high quality sealant or maybe even move to a coating. How capable are they of maintaining? I'd be cautious of them using a QD, unless you explain and teach them how to use it. If they are pretty busy, perhaps find a detailer to maintain it?

    Detailing a new Toyota Tundra

Mike wrote an article that covers exactly that question! How To Detail Your Brand New Car by Mike Phillips Read away and ask any Qs you have after :). Mind you, just because it's new doesnt mean paint will be perfect. Sometimes the dealer wash/prep or transport damages the paint.

    Mother’s CMX is here!

Looks great I'm glad you like it! It's very versatile and can be used as a great QD as well. From Carpros website 500ml makes up to 2 Gallons of (1:15) Waterless Spray500ml makes up to 3 1/4 Gallons of Quick Detailer (1:25)500ml makes up to 5 1/4 Gallons of Clay Lubricant (1:40)500ml makes...

    Mother’s CMX is here!

Oh wow that's not good. Mine seems to be doing ok, but has not seen any rain or snow recently. I may just do a quick touchless car wash to see how it does. Its been 2 weeks and last rain it saw it performed well. I hate running my comparison test because I love washing with Ech2o!

Video: How to clean rubber mats!

I watched the video when it came out so dont remember all the details. Mine have been worse, I usually heavily soak them with my waterless/rinseless wash. Then wipe with a microfiber. They get clean but not the dark black sheen when new. I then usually will follow up with some Sonax PNS. ANY...
