    Help...Rookie Question

:iagree: BUT, be careful with the smaller pads. The housing on the Griot's is bigger than the Porter Cable making it easier scratch something if you are polishing a weird angle. When I buy a Griot's later, my Porter cable will be left for small pads only.

    Help...Rookie Question

First of all, Welcome! Secondly, I have used both the Griot's and the Porter Cable and find that the Porter Cable doesn't come anywhere close to the Griot's. Also, through trial and error (more trial, less error), Adam (O.C. Detailing) and I have found that the Griot's with 5.5in pads is just...

I have some that I got for Christmas that have been through at least five cars on both a PCXP and a Griot's. They look a little torn up, but they still work..... Make sure you are cleaning your pad regularly and if you aren't satisfied with the cut/finish try the Kevin Brown Method. You are...

    1982 Datsun (turn around)

Niccee turn around. My parents did the same thing with me. My first "car" was a 1996 Chevy 1500 work truck. They said if I saved up enough money for a sizeable down payment, then they would help me with it. Now I drive a 2009 Honda Si and love knowing that I worked my tail off for it. The whole...

    Strong rubber cleaner?

:iagree: Just try not to get to much of it on your skin and try not taking deep breaths while you are working with it. It chokes me up and if left on your skin long enough it may cause burns.

    Strong rubber cleaner?

I had never heard of Bleach White until Adam (O.C. Detailing) and I went on a supplies run over the weekend. That stuff works like magic. Just make sure you use a good dressing to keep the tire hydrated. Don't let the matte black look fool you.....

The Kevin Brown Method (and a few other things) Explained!

And why did I spend all day working? I could have just come here and learned everything! Hahaha just kidding dude. For people with PC's, I used this method on the other side of the Passat and let me tell you, it is a joy. You don't have to worry about using SO much product and the results are...

First time using a machine (Flex 3401)

Before you go spending crazy amounts on Fuzion, try DP MaxWax. It is a hidden gem in my eyes when it comes to paint with a flake or any dark colors. In for advice on the dusting though. Good Job for a first time!
