I had this SAME problem polishing a vette there was the dust, smell and then the small piece of plastic that fell off. I was applying pressure tho maybe i need to rethink my process now I am using the flex

klasse aio is a sure bet

I use it at full strength but woolite is my first cleaner if that deos not work i use folex
