I'd like to know this too...is it worth putting on another sealant after the 360?

unofrtunately i don't have a straight sealant...i have souverain wax and the crystal mist...do i need a sealant? I assumed i would start sealing cars i worked on for my winter protection...

sweet...love that rust orange color...i just want to make that silver pop thats all...thanks for the info...really looking forward to getting my hands on that ride....

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! So for fathers day i'm detailing my GF's dads Silver 06 350z vert...my question is...should i just xmt 360 the whole car then top with souverain, or should i use xmt 2 on the whole car then do a layer of xmt glaze, then do the souverain...i'm just used to doing old...

i just don't see why i can't use both...is it just a waste of product cause the 360 is a glaze too/? i would imagine that another layer of a true glaze couldn't hurt...

its actually a 328xi sedan...my bad...either way its a sweet ride and will be a fun detail...I'll be sure to post plenty of pics (i'm not much of a photog though)

cool...i got a bottle of the glaze so maybe i'll just put it on my car after a nice wash and before a coat of wax...my black bimmer was detailed a few weeks ago, but i didn't use the glaze, and its due for a wash and wax...

would it be better to not use the 360 at all and just use the xmt 2 on the whole car and use the glaze instead of the 360? I also have the pinnacle advanced swirl remover and finishing polish...would either of these work better if placed into the process?

really, if you do a test panel and make sure you go slow enough to work the polish in, it really doesn't take that long...once I figured out what pad and polish combo was going to be aggressive enough, i was able to polish up the car pretty quick...also putting the proper amount of pressure on...

I wish that was my car...lol...thanks...the 360 is great product, but for real swirl removal i feel like something a little more agressive is needed...as for using the 360 as a polish after swirl removal. i'm not sure i've found anything better...

well it was an 03, the ceramiclear super hard coat started in 04....but it was still a pretty hard clear to work with...I washed then clayed, them started with pinnacle swirl remover and an orange LC pad, and that did ok, but what really took the swirls out was the XMT 4 and an orange pad...took...

If there is a ceramic clearcoat on the Benz, whats the best polish and pad combo to use if you don't wanna spend 50 bux on the menzerna polish? I have a pc, LC pads, and the full like of xmt polished (1-4) and i have the pinacle swirl removal polish and finishing polish as well...thanks

so if i polish the benz with a light cutting pad and my regular xmt polishes it will still look sweet when i'm done, just not as good as if i used menzerna? Maybe some XMT #4? Anyone know the best non-menzerna pad and polish combo for the MB's clearcoat? I just wanna be able to do a nice job for...

damn...where can i get some? do any of the chain stores sell this stuff? If i detail it like i would any other car, will it still come out nice? or will the only polished that will work at all be the menzerna?

I called mercedes and they said they never even heard the term ceramiclear used...lol...oh well...guess i'll start off light and work my way to more aggressive...

so i was right in assuming that if a detail place told me that they would only use hand techniques on the benz then they prob would not be getting the swirls out at all?
