As for the Weathertech liners I just used some Meguiars APC and a stiff brush to clean mine up. I haven't found anything to protect them that doesn't make them too slick.

I used it by hand and had no problems with it. I just work it in a bit until it looked like I had the desired result and wiped it off.

Look in the phone book under auto paint supplies. Here in Lansing, MI we have Finish Master that sells all of the Megs pro stuff along with all the pads as well.
