    Are my foam pads toast?

It's a matter of *experience* good man. ;) That pad will polish on for a long time.

    Are my foam pads toast?

The pads will still cut paint and do so effectively. He doesn't need to go out and buy new ones at this point. I have 9006's that I've had for five or more years now that still work and look worse.

I'd assume he was banned or he'd be back here trying to sell us more of his products.

    Roll On Bra Paint Protection

I've had to remove this stuff from all the places where it didn't come off the front end of a GTR. No fun! It took steam and a lot of patience.

    Waterless washes

No claims on the product. It's your product and you're here pushing it. That would be against the forum rules.

    Are my foam pads toast?

They'll cut less but they aren't done. Use on.

    Looking for a used car

The specific ones to avoid are the V6 automatic cars from 99-03. They're very prone to tranny failure. I may be off a year or two either way but the entire generation is bad in that combo. 4 cylinder cars are fine with either trans.

Should I opti-coat/cquartz my soft paint?

I was going to add that. My '95 Acura Legend has pretty soft paint. Adding OG has made it much more manageable and I'm able to keep it swirl free. Would OG be harder than an Audi, highly doubt that!

    Bogo Lake Country pad question

The counterweight is based on the use of a sanding disc and not a polishing pad. That said, a 6.5" pad is just too much pad for the pcda and it gets very little done unless you merely intend to spread wax/sealant.

    Wash all microfibers together?

I wash grunge towels separate from the others but I don't separate the others at all. As long as the towels are actually being cleaned you should be good to go. If your glass towels are streaking as a result then you have cleaner issues.

Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

I can accept the change but it will have to prove itself long term and not just looks. They still have some driving refinement to work on as well. What will the resale be like. We have friends that just sold off a 3 year old Odyssey for a 6 thousand less than they paid for it or about 20%...

    Iron x or ?

Akebono pads on my Honda minivan and they're head and shoulders better than the OEM pads in every way. As pads wear out on my other cars they'll be receiving the same pads.

    Surbuf R Series Buffing Pads

I love them but they don't last all that long. They will remove defects from hard paint with 105 pretty quick. Quick finish and you're done.

Menzerna - New Names and Product Numbers

That's not the problem. It's what became what and what do I need to hunt down. I don't like SIP at all! Used it a few times and it's way too finicky for me. I prefer ip and the dust that comes with it.

Menzerna - New Names and Product Numbers

Power finish might be the answer BUT it's going to be dependent on the paint and what you used to work the 105. If it was rotary and wool on hard paint then you'll likely need another step before PF. If its a da and mf pad then you may be able to use PF then 85rd and done.

Menzerna - New Names and Product Numbers

Looks like 85rd remains as 4500. That's a relief! I got my gallon of FPII Saturday so I should be good to go as I have a stash of all the other M products I use.
