I read the idea to use a full bucket of water attached to bungie cords to weigh down your canopy and keep it from moving.

A long lasting headlight lens protectant...

I, personally, don't plan to guarantee for 2 years. But I would like something that actually lasted that long or longer. Much easier to get referrals if customers are happy with you.

Optimum No rinse mixing ratio !!!

That strong might strip wax. Pour the 32 oz into an empty gallon jug. Fill it the rest of the way with water. Shake. You now have the proper proportion.

Which rinseless wash? ONR, ONRWW, CG Ecosmart, DG w/AW, Meg D114, or 3D?

Pnnacle was $25 for 64 oz; $80 for 128 oz; but they sold out of the 64 oz.

Which rinseless wash? ONR, ONRWW, CG Ecosmart, DG w/AW, Meg D114, or 3D?

It's one of the least affordable. Most of the others are quite concentrated. 16 oz will make gallons of product. IIRC, the 3d is not supposed to be diluted at all, but many people dilute it 1:1. So 16 oz would only make 32 oz.

    1" or 2" pads with PC 7424x?

Rupes Nano looks terrific, but am not in a position to spend that much right now. Right now I'd just be using the 1" pads to get the corners of headlights. So could be extra careful not to let anything heat up too much.

    1" or 2" pads with PC 7424x?

I have a 7424x that has become my backup, and I'd like to use it for headlights & other tight spots. I just bought the Headlight & Spot Repair Kit ( Meguiars Headlight & Spot Repair Kit ) , which came with 3" sandpaper discs, pads, and backing plate. On my very first headlight, I noticed even...

    Alternative "clay" products

I bought the kit with Nanoskin medium & fine sponges. Does the medium just get used on more contaminated cars? Does the fine do anything the medium doesn't? I've been wiping off the Nanoskin after every pass to make sure I'm not dragging contaminants across the paint. Is that what everyone...

    Garage Detailing Advice

As soon as I read OP, I was wondering about zoning and insurance. NFW I'd detail a customer's car at my house. It's not zoned commercial. So if anything happened I doubt it would be covered by either my homeowner's or my business insurance. And I doubt many companies would write insurance for a...

Headlight Restoration, Finishes, Process, Tools, and Discussion! Advice Welcome!

I'd read elsewhere that you should use a rotary or a drill; that a DA would bog down when it hit the little knobs and protrusions on many modern headlights. Is this not correct? Those of you using a DA, does it stop spinning when you hit irregular surfaces?

Bought same thing. Don't "regret" it because it's a good product at a good price. Just so damn much of it.

Can you keep cleaning off the microfiber and just use 1 pad? Do you need the compound designed specifically for microfiber? Or will 105 work?

Do you mostly stick with one product line, or cherrypick from multiple lines?

Thanks for the replies. I own a hodgepodge of stuff I bought mainly based on price + online reviews before I found this site. Was about to make a big (for me) order and wanted to know if I should go with one product line. Doesn't seem to be a big deal. Probably going with Megs Detailer line...
