Whats your go to Microfiber Detergent right now and why?

+1 for Micro-Restore. Towels come out like new. 1 oz is all I need per load. And I've never pre-soaked any of my towels. Works well even when I switched to an HE washer 3 years ago.

    Perfect daily driver? ?

Impossible in my situation. But trying to make it perfect is part of the fun.

    Washing microfiber towels - revisited

I'm a result-oriented realist. Washing towels into more than 2 loads is simply not practical in my case. I'm sure I'm not unique in this thinking.

    Washing microfiber towels - revisited

I also have no illusions about maintaining my daily drivers. With that in mind, I follow KISS. As long as I use a trusted MF detergent, I simply divide my towels into 2 loads: wheel/tires/interior/cheap towels vs paint/good towels. The underlying thought is not to mar the paint, therefore...

How to do you clean cargo rack on roof?

In addition to the roof rack, it's the smooth plastic molding around windows next to the pillars and such, and on my van, the side mirror housings are also smooth plastic.

How to do you clean cargo rack on roof?

I use Klasse AIO on my roof rack and other exterior plastic trim. The level of shine works well enough for my taste. It's been 2 months since I last applied and everything still looks great, in spite of the continuous rains we've been having the past 3 weeks.

    Save my paint!!!

Have you tried the sheeting method of drying? Works specially well when you have wax or sealant on your car. When done properly, you'll be left with just a few drops remaining, if at all, on the panels.

    Giving in to automatic washes

9 week old - in da house!! Congrats man - I still remember my time doing laps in front of the couch at 2 in the morning! Totally loved it. I'd rather leave that Ram dirty and grungy and give it a careful hosedown + rinseless once a month than take it to whereever you think you want to take it...

Meguiars D115 Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax dilution rates confusion

Wow, I don't care how good that product is but if $60+shipping makes for only a 5 gallon rinseless wash solution, I'd say that's highway robbery. I use up around 3 gal to wash a single vehicle with the rinseless method whether it be GDWM or 2BM.

    Microfiber Detergent

Micro-Restore here, a few years now. No pre-soaking needed. I even accumulate dirty towels for a couple of weeks or until I get a decent size load. Towels always come out clean, nice and fluffy. I see no reason to switch.

    Detailing Ladder

It goes without saying be careful moving these platforms around the vehicle. I have the Werner and couldn't be happier. Very handy. I lost focus once and nearly scratched my vehicle with it. My heart literally skipped a beat.

Seems like Wolfgang sealant is gone already

You and I were almost on the same schedule. Detailed my van in mid-August with Menzerna topped with WDGPS+Fuzion. Then, added another layer of Fuzion in late September. We've had monsoon rains here the past 3 weeks. My van is still beading, not as spectacularly as 2 months ago, but beading...

What do you wear when you detail?

Tights?! Well I've been known to wash my van in my cycling kit (it's usually after a bike ride)... The only thing I try to avoid wearing when washing my cars are long sleeves. I hate getting them wet and having that clinging feeling on my arms. On detailing, whatever is comfortable.
