No offense to whoever formulated DP Auto Bath, but Optimum Car Wash kicks it's butt! Slickness, suds, cleaning ability are all much better with the Optimum soap than DP Auto Bath. IME DP Auto Bath is a very average soap at best.

There's an automotive museum not far from me which has a collection of very old vehicles. There's one that has a toilet in it! It looks to be from the 1920's or possibly earlier.

When you consider price & performance it's hard to beat this soap. Performance wise, I actually think Poorboy's is a little better soap in the lubricity category. However, the price of Optimum is 25% lower which is a significant amount.

That's a pretty smart idea. Plus, at $15 a pop that's a great price for such a big chunk of MF. I think I'll buy one and just rub my body all over the car to dry it. :D

Poli-Seal has carnauba in it. So, it definitely hides defects too. Personally, I just REALLY don't like AIO type products. IME, they don't cut as well as a seperate polish and they don't protect as well as a stand alone sealant/wax.

I actually like Poorboy's better than Optimum. I find Poorboy's slightly more slippery. However, Optimum is about 25% cheaper ($30/gallon vs. $40/gallon) and I don't think Poorboy's is 25% better. One thing I do find about Optimum vs. Poorboy's is that Optimum's suds last longer than...

Good decision. I buy this soap by the gallon. About 2 oz. in your foam gun will give you some pretty thick foam. I use about 1.5 oz. in my foam cannon and it's like shaving cream.

Optimum is my go to car wash soap. I've used it in a bucket, in a Gilmour foam gun, and in a Foam Cannon. It really foams well and I was happy with the amount of foam in all three types of uses.

My understanding is that CF body panels are either clear coated or gel coated. If the clear/gel coat gets swirled then the panel looks hazy.

If you like the foam gun then you'll LOVE a foam cannon (a/k/a foam lance) for pressure washers. I just tried mine for the first time today and it's unreal.
