I live in New England and have not had a problem with items freezing during shipping. It helps if you don't leave them outside all day when they arrive on a really cold day.

As others have stated the motor of the PC does not cause the spinning of the pad. The motor does cause the pad to orbit and since the pad is mounted on a free rotating shaft the pad will rotate as a by product of the orbiting motion. As you have found out it doesn't take much downward pressure...

I don't polish my car during the winter. With all the salt, dirt, etc. pummeling the finish most of the winter it's very likely to get scratched up again quickly.

What model year is the car? More recently made M-B cars are painted with cerami-clear which is much harder than a traditional clear coat.

:whs: I have no idea what this washer is that people are referring to. I have no washer and my PC (until I traded it in for a Flex) worked fine without it and I had no problem getting the wrench in there to change the backing plate.

I have a white/yellow ShMItt that I bought when they were originally released at least a year ago. It has close to 100 washes under its belt and looks and performs like new except for a couple of gashes in the face.

Dollar for dollar it's certainly hard to beat Souveran. Also, :iagree: 100% that most people will not notice the difference. In fact, most people can't tell the difference between Souveran and Meguiar's Cleaner Wax on a properly prepped car. I however believe that I can tell the difference...

You can't compare the two speed wise because one rotates and the other rotates and orbits. Rotations are measured in RPM (Flex tops out at 480 RPM whereas many use their rotaries at over 1,000 RPM). The Flex also orbits (tops out at 9,600 OPM whereas tops for the PC is 6,000 OPM). Because the...

I've been using this stuff for a while it's GREAT. I also use it to pre-soak towels that are REALLY dirty before throwing them in the washer.
