    Dodge Chrome Clad wheels

My Ram has the 20" Chrome clad wheels. I have been using the Nevr Dull stuff on them and they look pretty good. I am wondering what others use on these wheels and if they are getting better results.

    Selling some gear.

Yes, but it would be obvious. Thats why I mentioned the restrictions. Mods could keep an eye on the forum, and easily tell when someone has crossed the line from selling a few items they dont use much, and trying to sell for profit. It would encourage people to make purchases if they knew they...

proper care for newer Ram P/U

What about a good washing, then clay and then apply 360? Its supposed to do everything at once,no?

    Selling some gear.

Handle it through PMs. Thats what one of the Mods said in another post where someone was selling something. I wish they had a for sale forum. Only allowing individuals to sell stuff, no businesses. I wish they wouldnt look at members as competition, I think it detracts from an otherwise...

proper care for newer Ram P/U

I have an 06 Hemi Ram Quad Cab. It is a Khaki color (think Bronze), very pretty. I have looked it over and cannot find any swirls or scratches. I am getting ready to fully detail it. What would be the proper process? I have some XMT 360 on the way, as well as several other waxes, (dont laugh...

    AIO or multi-step

I would like to do an experiment myself and see the difference between going all out and appying a million step process vs just cleaning your vehicle and applying a good quality all in one product like 360 or similar and see if there is a difference. Seems like overkill sometimes.

Looking for the best all round products

I went ahead and ordered the 360 as well as the meguiars boat restore kit and the XMT pad cleaning/lube kit. that, along with the stuff I already have should get me started.

    pad recommendation please

Mike, you mention a Makita. What model is it? I just ordered my first real buffer and went with the Makita 6040 because it is a dual purpose machine and I like Makita. Any opinions on it?

Everyone seems to like the 360, I will put that on the list. Trying to get everything ready and place another order.

Looking for the best all round products

Thanks for the advice. I recently bought a Makita 6040 since the El Cheapo random orbital polisher I had wouldnt do the trick for the boats oxidation. I then purchased a 6.5" orange, white and black pad from AG, as well a wool pad. The tech at AG said these were the pads I needed to do the boat...

Looking for the best all round products

Guys, I am not a professional detailer so I dont need tons of specialized products. I want to be able to correct the paint on my daily driver, and a moderately oxidized boat. I also want to be able to keep both of these as well as my near new Dodge Ram looking great. Are there a couple of...

Anybody here using a Makita b06040?

I see they dont sell the Makita here, is that why no one wants to discuss it? Or is it just new and there arent many out there yet?

Got my AG order, now what?

Guys- I have watched a lot of the demo videos and have some questions. From what I have gathered, It seems I should start with the lightest cut pads and compound, and use the Makitas random orbit mode instead of circular. I am having some problems understanding exactly how long to polish...

Got my AG order, now what?

So use the lightest cut compound with the lightest cut pad, right? I have a near new 06 Hemi Ram that is a beautiful Khaki color. I have never used compound on a newer vehicle, do you guys? I always just wax. I am under the impression that you use compound ONLY if there are problems with the...

Got my AG order, now what?

Alright guys, received my order. 6.5" orange pad, 6.5 white pad, 6.5 black pad and 6.5 wool pad. These are the hook and loop pads for use with my Makita 6040. This is my first real buffer. I would like opinions on how best to approach 2 projects. First, my 97 Mazda 626, black. Paint is pretty...

Anybody here using a Makita b06040?

Yes. I googled it. Lots of info, and the reviews I did find were excellent. I am trying to find opinions from actual detailers, though. I bought it because it can be switched from Random Orbit to circular buffer with the flip of a switch. As well as trusting the Makita name. Thanks.

First post, wish I had found this site sooner

Thanks. I have marine wax to finish with. I am looking for info on tools and product to use for removing the oxidation more than anything, though.

Anybody here using a Makita b06040?

I am having trouble finding much info on this buffer. I am trying to get an idea of the best pads to use with it, as it is my first real buffer. Any of you more experienced guys have any general info on this buffer specifically?
