I have Xpel Ultimate on my car, looks great and has held up well (granted it's only a year old). If I had to do it over again I'd do the entire hood to avoid the line entirely instead of the bikini cut.

Very different from my experience with the Shmitt, I have one still going strong after at least 5 years (I bought a spare at one of the Detailfests, which is still in the bag) and showing no signs of failure.

I've used mine twice now (not bad but not overly impressed), will try a few more times to see if I stick with it or go back to the Shmitt.

I too leave it in the container, but I definitely rinse through the foam gun with fresh water every single time to avoid any issues.

I've been using Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish recently and it's been pretty good. I'm gonna have to check out HD.

As far as lube, I recommend Rock N Roll Extreme or Prolink.

I use the SRAM quick link and remove the chain and soak in mineral spirits overnight. Agitate, then dry it off with compressed air (with a paper towel on the other side to catch any remaining junk). Clean the rings and cassette with a APC, a brush and very low pressure water to rinse.

Agreed, my two go-to APC's are Amazing Roll Off and Charlies Soap.

When you state that you used the same technique as polishing, did you put any pressure on it at all? I have read absolutely no pressure beyond the weight of the polisher. Also, I believe (ironically) that it seems the fine nanoskin seems to mar more than the med grade.

Agreed, between the chafing and trapping the moisture... Not to mention if any grit gets under there and the wind causes the bra to flop around.

I'd add some 303 windshield washer tablets. Just add them with water into your windshield washer reservoir tank.
