I'm getting the bug really bad...now I've decided I definitely want some after market wheels because detaliing my stock plastic hubcaps is absolutely no fun at all! :o LOL
Seriously, I'm a goober about car stuff and I know squat about who the good wheel manufacturers are. I don't want to...
It's my understanding that AIO works as a kind of cleaner for the paint and a prep for whatever else you want to put on the paint after it's perfectly clean: glazes, sealants, waxes. From the looks of things I doubt you took all the glaze off with the AIO...but jeez, I wonder what it would have...
Man O Man I LURV to pull up behind a beautiful shiny truck like yours because I can see my beautiful shiny new car in your beautiful shiny paint! So not only are you making yourself happy in doing this, you're probably making a lot of people happy behind you, too. :D
Seriously, awesome job...
LMAO!!!
I ddin't mean three coats of SG in the SAME DAY!!! :D
Nope, the sealant has gone on over three weekends. Thin coats of Klasse SG...which, I think the secret to working with SG is to keep rubbing with the applicator until your product is dry. JMHO after today. That seemed to do right...
I think I've read the answer to my question somewhere here before, but can't find it now so I'll ask:
Do we have to wait for carnauba to cure the way we do with SG? How long to wait between coats of carnauba?
I want to give Golda Toyota a couple of coats of Souveran paste this weekend. On...
I LOVE my 303 but I notice that it runs a bit with condensation and rain. The streaks do seem to go away if you wipe them, however.
I'm contemplating trying AIO and then Klasse SG on my little bit of black trim now that I've got it nicely soaked with 303. It says on the Klasse bottles that...
I know two men who have had their prostates removed, years ago, and they are both fine now. The prognosis can be very good for this type of thing...I sincerely hope it is so for your Dad.
Best wishes and prayers...
I've never used microrestore, but wanted to say that because of the potential for product residue that Jen mentioned, I "pre-soak" my MF's with product on them in some dish soap. I don't soak the drying towels or anything used to buff, only the things that come into contact with any wet...
Last week I washed, clayed, AIO'd, and used Klasse sealant. I never got to the second coat of sealant, however. I'd like to put that on today. Do I need to use AIO again before I put on the sealant?
Thanks, as always... :)
[I think it was] Jason put up a good post/article in the newsletter on engine detailing just a few days ago. Or at least, I saw it just a few days ago. But now I can't find it! I want to read it again. Can anyone link me to it?
Also...my car is brand new so of course my engine isn't all that...
Ankhenaton--I don't know how extensively you've prowled the autogeek online store, but in case you missed and you really want to try Souveran (I do!!) at a great value , then here http://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-souveran-intro-kit.html is the Souveran starter kit. In addition to the paste wax...
Hmmmm..."Desert Sand" has a hugely yellow undertone to it...
Okay. My arm is completely twisted. Souveran paste is my next purchase.
It is simply shameful how easy it is to spend money here... :D LMAO

Hate to be a pedant here, but...do you mean that for even light colors? Or would the liquid Souveran be better for that, as Kelso said?
Also, does wax stain black moulding?
Eeek!! I did not know this when I blithely went and clayed my new Camry this weekend! The more I read the more I realize I did NOT do my homework as well as I thought I had!
Will something like AIO take care of scuff marks if they occur? Or is the SSR the best thing to keep on hand for this...
LOL JCB and alban61...now I don't feel so bad. I don't have the PC but it took me a looooooong time to get done inside & out. Since I started later in the afternoon on Sat & Sun it seemed like I was at it for 2 days straight. And my neighbors kept coming by and making comments that ranged...
