    Polishing hatch & port windows

I think there usually Acrylic or Polycarbonate. I've gone over them lightly with a buffer to remove some haze but never accually tried to polish them out in fear of distorting or hazing ruining them. I'm sure it's similar to restoring headlights, usually the windows get scratched and beat up a...

Hey Mike - sealants on Awlgrip?

I've seen that same picture on the "sailnet" fourms". Would be nice if the factory would leave a Stamp somewhere of the paint type. Most owners I've talked to have no clue what the boats painted with, unless it was recently done. I've seen a lot of owners and contractors painting with Awlgrip...

Just discovered this awkward looking polisher browsing around the net. Says it produces swirl free and its non marring on paint and gelcoat. Suppose to improve job efficiency by up to 50%. Mostly used in large RV's and mega yachts. Any body ever hear or use one of these before

Hey Mike - sealants on Awlgrip?

Some of the LP's like Awlgrip be very sensitive, in the marine environment. They recommend no abrasive polishes, not even wax,( they say it can yellow the finish). No acids, even metal polish. More info here: http://www.awlgrip.com/support-and-advice/topcoat-maintenance.aspx. Once the shell has...

    CABO detail

Turned out great. Has a high quality gel-coat, besides the tornado of swirls left by the last company who detailed it. Do to the limitations my boss gives me (just compound and wax with same pad type) it's hard to squeeze in some real polishing/swirl removal. My Knowledge about products and...

3m & Megs marine line works great, so does presta and Farécla. Collinite paste wax #885 anything else and your wasting your time and money.

What's your "Go To" products on boat detailing?

A video demo of some M31 products being used in the hot humid weather would be great. Still a little skeptical, every other product is terrible in those conditions.(Megs Marine m67 does good in those conditions).

    Single vs dual side pads

I mostly (only) work on boats(rotary),I'm very slowly edging my way to car/paint. I bought a Megs DA v2 polisher, but have have yet to use it. Currently I'm limited to what my boss instructs me to do, (compound, wool&wax), I want to do more but limited at the moment. I have yet mess around with...
