I like to keep my paint around the 80% mark. Its constantly dirty though since I never have time to wash it. I have a full time job and I detail part time on the weekends.
My wife is my detail partner on every vehicle we work on. She handles the interior while I do exterior. She is picker than me and won't accept anything other than perfection. If she wasn't around I wouldn't be able to have such a successful business IMO.
For tires I have been using the new Meguiars Non Acid Wheel and Tire Cleaner with good results. I stopped buying D108 since I only used it for tires really anyway.
I was using my iphone5 for a ot of my pics and just edited them afterwards.
Now I have a Nikon L610 that I absolutely love, got it for a steal on sale and this thing is fantastic. Not a DSLR but good enough for a weekend warrior.
Three more months and ill be in (part time) business for a year. All I can say is when you present yourself as a professional who really does enjoy what you do people will see it and flock to you when their time is right.
Here are two things ive learned in that time:
1. The little customers you...
The only AIO ive used so far was HD Speed and got pretty good results on both white and silver. Havent tried it on other colors yet though but it does clean the paint real well and has light-medium cut to it (pad dependant).
You will have no regrets if you pick up some Ultima Interior Guard Plus. Its all I use on both my personal vehicles and clients cars. Leaves a fresh matte look and is very good at protecting everything from the elements.
The only two products I love from them is Fabric Clean and Nonsense, havent tried more than a handful of their products past that really.
I do love my stripper scent, purple stuff, bubble gum and new car scents.
I dont have any at the moment but th next job i have ill take some pics for you. As far as the hatch goes it open pretty far back into the, heres a pic i found online (not my car) of what the hatch looks like open. It also has a false floor that fits my table perfectly folded.
Super degreaser works great for pads IMO. I even let them sit overnight in a few gallons of water mixed with 2-3oz of degreaser and it makes hand cleaning them the next day SO much easier.
I miss using my Optimum Detail spray, I forgot how good of a glow it gives. Need to pick up some more since ive been out for a while.
Anyways, nice job on the Chally!
