OPC for me. I diluted it 3:1 and encountered white spots on my black paint when using it as a presoak with a wash. I also used it to clean my regularly maintained tires and it didnt get as much gunk as my other APC's I had on hand. Used the rest of the bottle for small stuff but wont be buying...

Nice work! I definitely hate the way dealers think theyve "finished" paint properly, argh.

The only ones ive used so far are CG Diablo and DG All Wheel Cleaner. The CG i use for maintainence cleaning and the DG I use on hammered wheels. It cleans everything but the nastiest wheels. Might pick up some Sonax specifically for the ones that my DG cant take care of.

Not to throw a kink in the process here but what about Menz SIP with a tangerine hydro? That cuts far better than my on hand OHP and i believe ive read some members use it as a one stepper on hard clears.

LC tangerine hydros for one steps and majority of vehicles. Cyan hydros and LC orange flats for heavier correction.

Looks like ill be getting some OHC and V32 to try out. Keep in mind this is going to be just a one step and not a full correction. Just wanted to throw that out there since everyone seems to be throwing compounds around.

Arent the V servies CG polishes DAT like Menzerna? I havent read otherwise but just wondering.

So the general consensus would be to do a two step or just hit it with 105 with some cyans?

Thanks for the comments on 105 vroomvroom. The only issue I think ill have with 105 is it'll be applied with a da and ive heard dusting and short work problems when used with a da.

Hmmm. I dont have and have never used M105 but thanks for the advice. At least ill have that option if need be.

To get back on topic though, would something like Optimum Hyper Compound with a LC HT tangerine finish out ok on hard black?

Have you tried either of them side by side compared to V32?

I have a newer model Chevy Silverado coming in soon for a one step correction and I don't have any experience with GM paint systems. I have heard they have rock hard clears and i'm afraid that my current one step combo will not touch this paint at all (OHP with HT Tangerine). I dont mind picking...

Could fg400 also be used as a one stepper on hard (GM) paint? Particularly a black silverado without hazing?
