Dropped the snake and got some new shoes...

Yup you are right. The same company that makes my wheel makes an exact replica of the Ford GT wheels. I would have gone with those if not for the fact that they didn't make a 10" deep dish version like I have for the rears. But they are nice!

    1995 BMW M3 - White "Lightweight"

This was a very unique car! Full roll cage, coil overs and plenty of rubber on the paint from the super soft tires and the commute up from Charlotte to Winston Salem, NC. The paint ended up being a lot harder than I thought it would be. I've done 2001 M3s and they didn't seem to have as hard...

Wet Sand test panel - 1983 Hurst 442

Air powered DA. It's actually safer because you are removing a more even layer of paint. It is not different than buffing by hand or with a machine. It just accelerates the process. With sanding though it is just a VERY fast process! With a DA sander you have to be moving fast... which...

Wet Sand test panel - 1983 Hurst 442

I use 3M paper. I didn't use a paint gauge for several reasons. Mainly though two reasons, 1) risk was very low because I was trying to convince him NOT to strip the paint and respray the car, so if I screwed up, no biggie. But also you could tell this was some thick paint. There are tape...

Wet Sand test panel - 1983 Hurst 442

By hand but believe me... if I get this job for the whole car, I'll be heading over to Harbor Freight and buying a nice palm pnuematic DA sander! He has a nice compressor that I was drulling over in his garage so that would make the process much faster. It took me 30 minutes just to do that...

Wet Sand test panel - 1983 Hurst 442

Friend of mine was going to have this car repainted because he thought the orange peel was too bad. I told him that I would take a crack at it (one small area) to see what can be done. Looks like this car had been sprayed several times with SS paint. Process Wet sand 1000 grit Wet sand 2000...

    1999 Black Cobra Paint Correction

This is some before and after for probably one of the most common problem areas of this style mustang... the rear third brake light lense. I don't know if I've seen a mustang this style without a crapped out lense. I guess it is the material. Process: Wet sand with 400 grit Wet sand with 1000...
