    low vibration random orbital suggestions

If you want low vibration, I think there is only one to get... Cyclo! The two heads moving in oposite directions pretty much cancels out vibrations. Great machine!

    Detailed: Menzerna and V-Dub.....

I have one and I agree with you. Great machine! I got mine on sale for like $30! I mean it's a motor in a casing that turns a pad right. The only complaint I have about it is the switch. I wish it was a variable switch as well. I don't like th eclick 'on' click 'off' style. Other than...

Sharing the knowledge as I learn it...

I don't want to start a debate but let me turn the table on you. Explain to me what it is worth the extra $100 for a Makita, Dewalt, etc.? I mean correct me if I'm totally off here, but a rotary is a pretty simple piece of machinery. Basically a powerful motor with a speed adjuster and a...

Sharing the knowledge as I learn it...

I'm fairly new to this level of detailing / paint correction so I figured I would share some of my lessons I learned along the way. So last night I was finally motivated to finally test out some of my new stuff. I wanted to try to rotary again. Last time I was all over the place with it! I...

    Anyone want to trade cyclos?

I recently bought an alomst brand new Cyclo 11A (pneumatic version) from a great deal. I wanted the pneumatic version because it supposed to be much quieter (definitely is) and has a much longer cuty cycle (i.e. lasts longer). So I used it for the first time last night. First impressions...

2001 Nissan Sentra 200k mile Makeover (56K No way!)

Here is how much product I was using on the yellow pad. BTW, this was the first time I was using a PC. I've worked with a cheaper Ryobi DA and even worked a Chicago rotary. I have to say, the PC broke the compound down almost as fast as the rotary. I was very suprised that the PC handled...

2001 Nissan Sentra 200k mile Makeover (56K No way!)

This is my wife's daily driver/used to be my dailer commuter for a 180 mile daily commute. I bought it new in November of 2000 and it has been a great car. Cheap payment, good on gas and reasonably comfortable. It has been good to us... on Friday to odometer flipped over to the whopping...

Yeah, I think a paint gauge is a must especially if you are a NEWB like me who got P3WNED by this GTO (LOL, excuse the frustrated forum vernacular).

    Big Trouble!

I know that some of you have been here... you're wet sanding and don't realize how thin the paint is and the unthinkable happens. You see primer! At first I thought this couldn't be but as you see... it got even worse when I tried to compound it out. What are my options here guys?! Please don't...

    DA vs. Rotary

I can confirm that it comes with an extra set of brushes for the motor, a white foam pad, 7" hook and loop backing plate, wool polishing pad, and two sanding pads. I like the handle on it as well. So far I couldn't be happier with it. In my learning process I am wondering what speeds I should...

    DA vs. Rotary

I tried my new Chicago rotary yesterday for the first time. I posted some pictures in the Show N' Shine forum. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/4830-1999-black-cobra-paint-correction.html So far it seems like a great machine. Although as I stated in my other post, it is...
