I don't get it (about Porter Cable kits)...

I'm guessing it's because those are slow moving products (the sizes). They pack it with kits in order to sell them faster. It's normal business practice. :)

Differences and benefits to hydrotech pads

I love the HT pads, these are the only pads i use with a rotary. The flats and ccs i use with the XP (which is uhmm..thrice?). And most of all, the pad is well built, foam material is sturdy and very different from the other pads. I never had any issues using them, no deformation, no foam...

    best microfibers/towels for removing M105?

Hi Keifer, 105 is water soluble and is not hard to remove. It only becomes hard to remove if you let it dry or work it too long than it was intended. Experience with the product will teach you how long you can work it, how it looks like before it dries and how to use it properly. I'm not...

Black Lexus RX300 Swirl & Hologram Removal

Great work. Yeah appears to be a build up of dirt if there were no stains on the green pad with the IP. Are you using 6.5" pads? You should try keeping your work area below 14"x14" cause 20"x20" kind of seems too big for the pc. Yes, an orange pad would've taken the majority of the scratches...

My 4 inch pad adapter for the Flex 3401

Innovative! Just a little more work and i'm sure it'll be a great project. On a side note, i think you need to clean your machine,BP and pads first. ;) Just for laughs. :)

How do I know if I need a compound polish?

The best way to know if you need a compound is to perform a test spot. Use a polish first, if you're not getting the desired results, you may want to step up to a compound for better cut. :) It is recommended to only polish when you need to remove paint damage or restore gloss and clarity...

Machine Stroke and How It Affects Sanding and Polishing Performance

Now, that is an article! Excellent write-up, diagrams and most especially the graphical representation of the behavior of the BP as the DA machine runs. Is this part of the book you've been writing or a separate paper? :)

You all made me this way.

Hmm...well they do have a point. 4 coats of wax isn't going to be a thousand miles away from a single coat. I personally only do two coats to make sure i was able to get every single area protected. :) And the guy that said a beading wax doesn't necessarily mean dictate the amount of...

Got an idea to make a great product better?

:haha: The AG dispenser bottles sure needs something to keep you from losing the cap. Maybe adding a plastic loop that attaches to the spout, like the ketchup bottles. :) http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/autogeek_2121_38413979
