Light white, or kind of clear, even just a tad yellowish is the older glue. The new glue is very dark amber brown color. Not eveyone had problems with the older glue and their ShMiTT wore out before any delamination occured, but with certain wash chemicals, left wet for a long time, or...

The new glue has a very dark amber color and is pressed very hard. The best way to know is if you get one that has the string on it. Those are the most recent.
