Which paint did you use the turtle waxes on? I'm assuming you got original stuff so how did it 'ruin' the paint. You clayed six times from one clay kit? How effective was it in cleaning and removing oxidation? It dissolved your red margalla's paint but it didn't do nothing to my white single...

Yeah i'm going for the mothers one. Meguiars DA? I think i'll get a chinese one as @highroller mentioned. Maybe we can go sometime and buy it. :)

Yup, first time. Mothers clay kit is cheaper but they still rip you off :(. Thanks for the advice.

Well, this is pak... :laughing: Yeah, i'm from lahore too. I plan to work on a clearcoated, midnight blue colored car with heavy swirls.....it may be impossible by hand but i'll give it a shot as soon as i get a clay kit.

I also need a clay bar so....polishing will have to wait.

@imranhakro Thanks for replying. The paint i'm working on needs claying as the pad(by hand) i used to work the Mothers cleaner wax became slightly black. I think the swirls might worsen if the pad picks up any large contaminants....though i haven't noticed this yet. I'll experiment and see what...

I'll try your method on a weekend as the car is a daily driver(leaves early, comes late). Pretty much all products are highly priced here.....they import in bulk but still take a lot of profit. I didn't ask about UC but UP was for 3300pkr at a store...luckily i got it for 1350pkr from a trusted...

Hi, all. I'm confused over the use of a cleaner wax and clay bar. Many use the wax after using a clay but wouldn't that defeat its purpose? I understand that a cleaner wax is an AIO product....so can't i use it without claying(right after washing/drying)? I read Mike's article about...

Bad news....i bought it before seeing your post...i guess i had to learn the hard way. I'll see if i can do some good otherwise i'll sell it. The UC here is overpriced! They charge almost double....i'll try to source it from somewhere.

I'm trying to remove heavy swirls on a '98 Merc with original paint. I'm not sure yet whether its clear coated or a single stage finish......something i'll check tomorrow. I saw the article and i will definitely try the DA polisher in the near future. :pc7424: Thanks for the advice, Mike.

I was wondering how abrasive is Meguiars clear coat safe polishing compound and how effective is it at removing spiderweb swirls? I already have Ultimate Polish in my arsenal so is this worth buying?
