    Help

Thanks, I was reading some other thread and people said that they were able to change the backing plate and it was decent for the money. Just wondering now if you have any suggestions for polishing pads.

    Help

Also I was thinking of getting a 3in instead of a 6in because they are cheaper and and I can only get one so I want a uniform look around the car. Unless I should just go with the 6in.

    Help

I am thinking of getting a polisher for my car so that I can give my arm a break. The one problem is I am new to polishers and I don't want to spend any more than $150. I am only going to use this for 3-4 years so I don't need something that will last forever but that is always a bonus. Please...

    Polishing Engine Parts

I was looking at an engine a while ago after I detailed it and I was wondering if I would be able to polish the metal in the engine bay. I know the most of an engine is covered up now and I am not looking to polish key parts of the engine, but I see things like metal pipes going from one part...

    How to improve my technique

I have thought about getting a polisher but I have simply found the market to be too confusing for me to distinguish between everything. Taping. Why?

I use blue painter's tape with no problem and as people have said it is a preventative measure. I use a polish sometimes that will stain if it comes in contact with trim so when I use it I tape of trim.

    Help!

The UC and UP work really well buy you only need the UC if there are scratches or swirls. Also while the polish does do a lot to help, IMO the wax is what really determines the shine factor. I use Collinite 845 and it really does help the shine of the car in addition to polish.

Review: Meguiars Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer

I have used the product and honestly it will wear off like almost any other OTC trim restoring product, it looks good when you put it on but then slowly wears off.

    How to improve my technique

    How to improve my technique

So it has become winter up here in North New Jersey so that means I look to how I can improve my techniques for detailing and I was hoping I could get some suggestions. What I do currently when I completely do a car is: Wash Clay Wash Polish with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish or NuPolish Wax with...
