    Need some reassurance/tips

Thank you for your suggestions they really help. I will definitely look into a wool pad, I know one came with my makita buffer I got whether its a good one or not I'll look into it. And maybe I'll just get some m105 and m205, why not.

    Need some reassurance/tips

I actually did all the prep work and painted it myself. I took a community education auto body class and did it all there. I do have a little experience sanding and with a rotary. It has 3 coats of clear on it. I know I won't get show car quality out of it but I am willing to put in as much...

    Need some reassurance/tips

Some of you may have seen the project I am tackling in my intro thread. But a quick summary is I repainted my 87 Mustang about 5 weeks ago. At first I thought it turned out ok but now the more I learn and the more I've looked at it I am now disgusted with all of the orange peel. So I'm now in...

That does suck. That first pic is amazing. I definitely think you're right for calling them. If anything maybe they'll at least ask in the future.

Yeah I'm pretty lucky that I found it. I didn't even really think anything of it when I bought it. It wasn't until a couple years later I realized how rare the t-tops are.

Well from your pic it looks super clean. I like the two tone, I contemplated doing that with mine. And that's cool that your satisfied with where its at...that's half the battle right there.

Thanks, It's got full intake and exhaust, AFR 185 heads, F303 cam, 42lb injectors, upgraded mass air, full bolt ons and just last winter I slapped on the Vortech. It's the V-3 SI. It's awesome. I also put on the Anderson Power Pipe and upgraded the fuel pump. Couldn't be happier with the outcome...

Yeah this is one of those things if I could go back and do it all again I would do differently. I figure in the hole project im easily over 100 hrs of just sanding, But now i'm wishing I had done even more to get an even better finish. I'm in the final buffing stages right now but am ready to...

Its got 3 coats of clear on it and I started wet sanding with 1500 grit but decided to go with a 2000 grit. It's been a very long and frustrating process. The class is at one of the High School Tech centers which has pretty decent equipment but since it gets used mostly by high schoolers it gets...

Hey all, My name is Carsten and I'm from Utah. I have a 87 5.0 mustang that I really enjoy working on. I've owned it for about 12 years now. I finally got the motor to about where I want it and recently have taken on the project of the exterior. A couple months ago I took a community...
