    Removing swirls from the daily?

Hey guys. I have a white 2003 Subaru forester with 100k on it. It has some very light swirl marks on it. What would be my best bet for removing or reducing the appearance of said swirls? Polishing(if so, what polish) or using a filler glaze or similar? I don't have any polish laying around...

Acceptable way to measure if I've used enough soap?

Thanks guys! I etched in some lines on my bucket and a plastic cup so I can get an accuring 5oz/5 gallons In terms of how it feels: slick, just as if I did it by hand. But I am using around 3/4 the soap I was using to get the same feel. I never knew that using too much will strip the wax...

Acceptable way to measure if I've used enough soap?

But do I need one - like is having a very precise soap/water ratio that important? Is there something wrong with my methods? If I get a portioner, wouldn't I then have to measure the water too? Hmm... And entire post made of questions lol

Acceptable way to measure if I've used enough soap?

I've always filled my bucket with water and squirt it some soap, mix it up, then reach in and rub my fingers together. If they feel slippery, then I'm good. If not, they I add more soap and repeat. Is this a fine way to do it or not? I reason that if my fingers slide by each other, than the...

Wipe New trim restorer guaranteed to last for 2yrs

2 years huh? That seems like a while. I wonder what their testing methodology was. Garaged vs. Sun, now often the car is washed, type of soap/detergent, etc

    SOS Clay bar

I guess that was confusing. I mean to say that the clay glides over the smooth area like it should, but if I 'venture' into the unclayed area, it sticks really bad I use Megs GG. I don't think it has wax in it, but I may be wrong. The car has only been in my possession for a few weeks now...

    SOS Clay bar

The amount of imbedded contaminants in the batch hatch of my car is nauseating. Like, you don't even need to do the plastic bag trick to tell it needs to be clayed. Just by lightly rubbing the back of my hand on it, it feels like 800 grit sandpaper. I can hear it too. After doing a 4x8 or so...

    Painting rims?

Mswerb: it comes up from the edges of the rim when I use by brush to scrub my tires/rims. The lug nuts also grab the plastidip and pull it up when I rotate tires. If I were to do matte rustoleum, would I still have to clearcoat it?

    Painting rims?

Ok so here's the deal. I the rims on my first car have chipped and weathered paint. So I tried the 'plasti-dip' route. But since that is a fairly soft, pliable, elastic coating - it didn't have the durability I wanted. If I were to paint them matte black, what would I do? Hit it with 80 or 200...
