    Velcro Melted On Backing Plate

I usually run at 4.5 but my brother's car was in bad shape!!! My pads are from close to when the system first came out. Not sure if they say made in USA or not...will have to check. I clean after every section pass...with air if I have it, brush if not. If it is the brush I kick it down to...

    Velcro Melted On Backing Plate

Hello all...been a while since I have posted. Ran into a problem yesterday when I was compounding my brother's car yesterday. I was using the Meguiar's DA Microfiber system and the velcro melted in the center of my backing plate (about 1.5" in diameter). This is my 4th time using the system...

    Wheels and Opti-Coat...

Thanks for the quick replies guys but I guess my post was a little vague on what I meant by inner portion of the wheel...sorry. I meant the actual part inside the tire. I have had wheels corrode on that part and wound up causing slow leaks after a while. I was wondering if coating that part...

    Wheels and Opti-Coat...

Is it ok to use Opti-coat on the inside of wheels? A buddy is getting a new set of wheels and I offered to Opti-Coat them for him before he gets them put on. Is there a benefit or is it overkill to do the inner portion of the rim? Thanks, TtheC

    WGDGPS Question...

Would I have any bonding issues applying WGDGPS over d301? I am heading down to Joplin,MO this weekend and am going to detail my moms car. I am planning on working with the Megs MF system and would like to not have to remove the wax/sealant from the d301 before applying the WGDGPS. It is gong...

    Experiance With Griots Lifetime Warranty

I have never had a problem with mine so I don't know first hand how the warranty process works. I do know that it doesn't matter if you buy it from Autogeek, they (Griot's) will honor the warranty. I don't know if this is different if you buy from a private seller. Also, I have seen a few...

Maguiars DA Polish Machine Compatiable with these pad?

The first two can be used with a DA or a rotary...the third is recommended for rotary only according to the product descriptions. I have no expeience with these pads so I can't say how well they work or if the cutting pad can be used with a DA without causing trouble. The 7 inch size may be...

    other detailers ad confusing?

It depends on what they mean by "buff and polish." THat could be what they call a one step "correction" with a wool pad and rotary. If that is the case, it can be done very quick and cheaply. If they are talking about two separate steps, yes that does seem a bit inexpensive but location may...

Detailed my daily driver - my first ever detail :-)

Excellent turnaround...like everyone else I had to do a double check on the age of the car. That was crazy bad shape for a new car.
