Removing Stubborn Plasti Dip From Weather Stripping?

I have found Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover works well to remove Plasti-Dip. Apply liberally and give it a few minutes to soak before working it. Good luck my fellow Autogeek! I hope the end is near for this Plastidip phase!

Semi Detail by E.W. Auto Detailing

Thanks man! That's one of my favorite shots as well. The owner was truly blown away. He thought the wheels were shot as far as finish goes.

Semi Detail by E.W. Auto Detailing

It was a huge undertaking... Not pictured, but we also clay bared the whole semi using the speedy prep wash sponges and coated it with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0. The whole semi took us 21 man hours. I had 3 guys including myself tackling it for 8 hours straight. The semi was pretty clean...

Semi Detail by E.W. Auto Detailing

For the wheels I used the Flex3401 and a 5in Lake Country Orange Medium Cut pad for all large surfaces. For the harder to reach areas we attacked it with the Meguiars dyna cone and an electric drill! A few areas had to be worked by hand, but the majority of the shine came from those two tools...

Semi Detail by E.W. Auto Detailing

Started things off with the help of the Autogeek Foam Cannon using Meguairs Hyper wash and APC mixture. A little coffee to fuel the crew! Chrome tackled with Optimum Metal Polish and the Flex3401 Oxidation removed and fuel tanks brought to a high polished finish! 50/50 on one the...

griots boss system correcting a lexus gs350

Nice work! I like the fact that you have had experience with the Rupes System, prior to purchasing the new Griots. I've been eying the Boss System to add to my Flex3401 and Porter Cable 7424XP. Have you tried any Lake Country pads with the Griots Boss or only the Boss Specific pads?

How To: Clean and Condition Ford King Ranch Leather

Nice write up Nick! I too prefer to work the hide style leather via bare hand leather conditioning. I've found the first time around the leather seams to almost drink the conditioner, but this decreases as you continue to maintain the leather over time.

poor boys natty blue vs collinite 845/915

I have used both and definately prefer Collinite 845. Natty Blue is a good wax and will give a good shine, but will not have near the life of Collinite. I also think Collinite is a little easier on and off. Poor boys products were developed to be used in direct sunlight, which makes them...

    Rolling Stool Caster Replacement?

I've gone through about 8 craftsman rolling creeper seats over the past 10 years of detailing...The guys, including myself, just flat wear them out! Either breaking the seats off the pneumatic cylinder, rolling the wheels off, or bearings wearing out... However, I typically buy these stools for...
