If you can have only one compound... what would it be?

I've been using power gloss for years now and its never let me down. Ive got lots of experience with 105 too, but I much prefer menzerna.

    2012 Fast Five Charger

Its definitely painted matte black, not wrapped. I goofed though its not a 2012 its a 2011! Its got a bone stock 5.7 hemi in it. Apparently there are only 5 of these fast five edition chargers out there. Heres the stock yet dirty hemi!

    2012 Fast Five Charger

I was doing a polish at the local chrysler dealer a couple weeks ago when this charger rolled in. Apparently a young guy won it, but didn't want it so he sold it to the dealership. This thing is brand new with less than 100 kilometers on it. Anyway obviously what struck me is the flat black...

Lightroom Shots from my Detailing Studio!

Nice cars! I had to laugh at that mercedes limo, rare and expensive yet its riding on crappy Kumho Solus tires haha! I remember those being standard equipment on the Kia Rio's way back in 03!

    stick shift vs. paddle shifters

Yes!! I agree 100%! A loud badass sports car going down the street goes from wicked to lame real fast once you realize its an automatic! I guess autos are better for the drag strip but for cruising? Pass!

Why do some people mask off before detailing and some do not?

I tape areas where I need to get up real close to an edge or trim. Especially when using M105 as its such a bear to clean up if it comes in contact with plastic.

    stick shift vs. paddle shifters

I drove a Ferrari F430 last year and thought it was awesome to have the chance to drive one. However I thought it would be so much more fun if it had a 6-speed rather than paddles. Paddles just can't replicate the feeling of a real standard trans.

    stick shift vs. paddle shifters

I've always owned cars with standard transmissions, and wouldn't have it any other way! I've driven several cars with paddle shifters and thought they were for people that had no clue how to drive standard but wanted to pretend. Not my cup of tea at all!

    Problem with my 7424XP

Thats so weird to hear of this happening. I bought a 7424xp for a detail shop I worked at. I beat the hell out of it daily for over a year and when I left that job, it was still working like it did the day I bought it. The backing plate was totally worn out though! Sucks this has happened to...

What products "WOW" you every time you use them?

Menzerna S34, PO83, and 106FA. I jumped on the 105/205 bandwagon for a brief time but it wasn't long before I ran back to Menzerna, its where I am happiest! I also really dig Collinite 845, 476s, and the Flex 3401.

    Calling customers "Clients"

Thank you! Haha yes kids can make a detail project an unpleasant one! Sometimes i feel like I should be wearing a hazmat suit when doing jobs like that!

    Calling customers "Clients"

To be clear, the disgusting pig comment was my way of lightening things up! I don't bad mouth customers or shame them for having dirty vehicles, that is stupid. I do the work, they are happy with the end results and I get paid for the job. I started this topic simply because I have found the...

    Calling customers "Clients"

Wow this turned into quite a discussion! I can see everyones point of view for sure. Heres mine! I've got "customers" that i've had for years and will continue to do work for them. I've even become friends with a lot of them. When discussing work i've never felt i've needed to use the word...

    Calling customers "Clients"

This isn't an important topic obviously and i'm not trying to start an argument here, this is just my point of view. Calling a detail customer a client has always made me scratch my head! We aren't lawyers, plastic surgeons, or real estate agents here, pure and simple we clean cars! I have been...

23 YEAR OLD swirls on top of swirls - 88' Red Honda Civic pix/vids

The transformation of that car is absolutely amazing. Outstanding job! Personally I think transformations like this one are much more impressive than the typical ferrari/lambo details that we see on this site so often. Great job!!

Ultimate Driving Machine: E46 M3 Gets a Makeover

You did an amazing job on that car, well done! I was looking at the last couple pics for a while and to me it looks like the rear tires are on backwards!

A few upcoming detail jobs (suggestions wanted)

What about Tarminator? I use it often to remove adhesive and it works fast!

    Just found my next Rig...

I've seen a few of those vans where I live. It should definitely get the job done! As far as the buying american comment, gm seems to be churning out rebadged european and austrailian cars for the most part and i'm pretty sure chrysler is owned by Fiat now. Not much american about american car...
