Sonax Perfect Finish & Nano Polish vs. Menzerna line ??

Where do these Sonax products stack up against the Menzerna line in terms of cut and finish? Also, these are DAT correct? From my research, it seems this is somewhat the observation: Sonax Perfect Finish - Cut similar to PF2500 but finishes as good (or better) then SF4000 Sonax Nano Polish -...

    Which Lake Country Pad?

Doing a 2 step correction. Orange pad & Menzerna FG400 for compounding. Finishing polish is Menz SF4000. Should I use the Black or White pad? Im leaning towards Black but wanna make sure it will fully take out any haze left by the Orange...

Coatings - Top 3 and easy to apply (first timer) ??

So far Carpro has caught my eye. The instructions seem simple enough... almost like a normal LSP. Apply, wait for XXX amount of time depending on temp, then buff of with provided microfiber towels. That seems to be less scary than "wipe it in until its invisible", lol.

Coatings - Top 3 and easy to apply (first timer) ??

Im looking at putting a coating on my DD. Im new to the game... which ones are considered Top 3 or 4? And which is easier for a first timer to apply? Heard a lot of bad first time experiences with Opti-Coat for example.

Opti Coat 2.0 - Most of my customers see no difference between coated and uncoated

I wouldn't show them a fully corrected car (then) show them the corrected car with coating. They wont see much a difference, heck I don't. Just show them the final product, done, corrected and sealed. They will be wow'd.

Deciding lsp or qd products. feedback helpful on product list.

When you dive into polish, I highly suggest Menzerna. FG400 - compound PF2500 - swirl remover with good finish SF4000 - light swirl remover with perfection finish And get some lake country pads. All you really need are Orange, White & Black IMO...

Deciding lsp or qd products. feedback helpful on product list.

Optimum Instant Detail & Gloss Enhancer is a great, cost effective QD. 1 gallon makes 4 dilluted, some make 5 gallons. Optimum Car Wax is a good spray wax (some also use it similar to a QD and apply after every wash) - also avalible in 1 gallon. LSP - check out Dodo Supernatural Hybrid.

How to explain car detailing on air for 45 minutes?

Make it a conversation with the host. Interactive... instead of one person just speaking for 45 minutes. Have him ask you SIMPLE questions about each process of wash, protect, maintain... and act like your speaking to 10 year olds as a lot of people wont get our language.

First Time DA Purchase - Which and Why

The way I see it is if its for personal use, a PC is fine. If your a pro detailer that needs a better machine that works faster, Rupes or Flex is better. I got a PC - fine for the 2 times a year I use it.

First time using abrasives (Menzerna) - Tips?

Thanks again. What mixture do you find to work well? 50/50? Or more diluted? I think it comes 70% alcohol from the store... I also have Menzerna Top Inspection but heard it doesnt completely reveal the finish... ever use it?

First time using abrasives (Menzerna) - Tips?

Thanks Mike. Im working on my Audi S5 which seems to have soft paint. Here it is just cleaned with P21S Paint Cleaner & topped with Collinite 915. Photo is enhanced. In person, I'm not a fan of what Collinite 915 did to the finish, mutted it and dulled it down a bit IMO. I liked it better...

Why do we obsess over LSP??

Agreed. I used Collinite 915 on my dark blue Audi S5 about 2 weeks ago. It looked great. But that didnt stop me from buying Supernatural Hybrid. I know for sure SNH will look great, but Ill then want to try out something else.
