Do you guys recommend using a clear bra on a black car?

The other thing to consider is that the same waiting period for applying wax or sealant after a paint job applies to the clear film, as well. So after your bumpers were resprayed, you would need to wait to install the clear film the same amount of time that you would to apply a wax. The paint...

Do you guys recommend using a clear bra on a black car?

Exactly! It becomes such that a repaint is the only thing that will bring it back. I've just started over (new car!) so I'm doing it right this time.

Do you guys recommend using a clear bra on a black car?

True. I live in the DFW area, where it seems like construction is the norm...my previous car (black) was so peppered with rock chips that I nearly lost all motivation to care for the front end of my car. Every detail I just became more depressed with the state of the bumper/hood!! And the...

Do you guys recommend using a clear bra on a black car?

I picked up my new car on Tuesday of this week. I've driven on the highway twice. I already have a significant rock chip on the front bumper. I do not follow close, and am a very cautious driver. Rock chips happen. I'm doing the clear bra myself in two days (after touching up the rock...

    Professional Advice Please

Well, I unfortunately don't have advice for you, but I would like to add that I, too, am interested in what could keep a car over a harsh winter like that. We don't have many of those in Texas! Evil Car Cleaning Product(s)

Oh, and I've decided that Mequire's Gel Tire dressing (the purple, grape scented stuff) is evil...at least for me. It gets on everything, the smell never leaves your hands, and good Lord does it build up and turn brown after a while. It takes a great deal of scrubbing to get the old stuff off...

    Evil Car Cleaning Product(s)

Yeah true, but that's not intended for cars! To revise my earlier post, by the way, I meant those cheap bug sponges you can get at local parts stores...I haven't tried any from AG! My brother recently put some "character" on his truck with one of those cheap ones. Yikes!

    Sealants

He's talking about using the IPA before the sealant or wax. The IPA only lets you know if you need to polish more, by revealing marring concealed by the polish fillers.

    PPG is Aquapel???

Just saw a PPG product at my local Pep boys which looks and is promoted just like Aquapel. Is this the same product or a similar product? It's a one time dispenser, costs about $8 and purports to last about 6 months. Anyone ever try this particular treatment?
