    Opinions On Chemical Guys?

What I like and will buy again... Pete's 53, 50/50, Barebones, Citrus Wash & Gloss (use it in my pad washer as well), Stripper scent & VRP shine. What I like but have replaced with other products due to cost... Innerclean, Microfiber wash, Honeydew and Maxi suds, Luber & Diablo wheel cleaner...

    HD Speed!!!

I've been reaching for speed a lot more lately. I grabbed a gallon after reading everyone's thoughts about it last fall. Didn't get around to giving it a go until last month. It blew my mind how easy it is to work with and the results it gives.

    Clean Freak Commercial Extractor

I guess it could be. I put it the bucket, plug it in and wait about 10 minutes. Unplug/remove it and start washing. The water stays nice and warm throughout the wash.

    Clean Freak Commercial Extractor

Exactly... $30 and you have very hot water. If your mobile and it's cold, a bucket heater is worth it's weight in gold. No more reaching into a ice cold wash bucket.

    New Gas Cans

I recently went full time on my mobile operation and wanted dedicated cans for work. I have cans that are 10-15 years old sitting in the shed and haven't had a need to replace them.

A non heated unit with filled with water heated by a bucket heater would be your cheapest option.

    Tornador Problem/Questions

I would suggest finding a friend with a different compressor so that you can eliminate the gun being the issue. I run my black from a Ingersol Rand 30 gal and it does great for about 3-4 minutes of continuous use. I then have to stop and let it catch up since the pressure has dropped so low that...

    New Gas Cans

Thanks for all your inputs. I know I'm not crazy for having an issue with them now. I'll look into your fixes and hopefully move past this trying time in my life.

    Black F350 Correction

I was in a rush to get it done so I didn't even think about pictures till long after the sun went down. This is one I took of the hood. The paint was fairly soft and was not a pain to correct.

    Black F350 Correction

I recently did a newer F350 in black with a 2 step correction. It was swirled up and had some minor scratches. Flex 3401 with LC orange hybrid / Menz 400 followed by LC white hybrid Menz 4500 gave fantastic results. The job including coating and interior took me roughly 36 hours.

AR390SS vs Karcher self-priming feature for winter car washing

I have a Karcher X series and have attempted to use it from a tank without success. This was with a 25' hose and it was not able to get primed. May have been a different story if the tank was higher. I use a shurflo water pump in my trailer to feed out to the pressure washer. Works fantastic so...

    Help. Are my wheels fried?

Totally agree with you. I did a car a few weeks ago and found out that another detailer in town plasti-dips tires. He offers it as a upgrade. One blast of water and it was peeling. Took forever to get it all off.

    New Gas Cans

I recently picked up a couple new gas cans and they came with a safety spout. They have a spring loaded check valve to prevent gas from coming out unless it's pressed against a filler neck. In order to get past a slow trickle I have to put enough force that the can feels like it's buckling...

Up Close & Personal: FLEX Swirl Finder Light

I love my Flex light but recently I've noticed the switch going on it. Hard to turn on/off or goes into a weird strobe mode. It's had a hard life and has taken several falls off of the tool box. Anybody else ran into this? I may have to open her up and attempt to rebuild / replace the switch.

Do I Have The Necessary Equipment To Start Detailing As A Side Gig?

:iagree: More pads! At least 6 of each pad you plan to use. Stoners Invisible Glass tops anything else I've used. Clay with lube or clay mitt. Poor Boys Bug Squash and Tarminator ONR for quick washes When you finish with the All Clean try DP APC or Optimum Power Clean. Back to Black has...

Reviewed: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

I take that as it is slightly acidic which causes it to be able to strip LSPs. I have never had a issue with using it in direct sunlight but I would never allow any cleaning agent to dry on the vehicle. This is my go to for pre soaking my pads after use. Cheaper and just as good as the...
