Oh I get all that. I’m just wondering if anyone who believes that coatings can protect from micro scratches uses a car brush. Following that logic a California duster should be absolutely no issue for a car with a ceramic coating.

What’s the difference between a sealant and a ceramic?

Yep. Just wait for it to get dirty, wash, then as a final step use a high silica content QD or sealer. Easy. In wash mine in the normal wash. A micro fiber shouldn’t get really dirty from washing the car. The mitt should but if you rinse that out in you ‘clean/soap’ bucket when done it’s fine...

So out of the gate you see sealants (I assume you mean ceramic sealants) and wax as both wet and warm. But then the maintenance sprays (high silicone content vs high wax) turns the wet looking ceramic into more glassy looking while the wax maintenance sprays keep the waxed car wetter looking...

Oh I agree. But a ceramic doesn’t mean you still don’t need to wash, clean, detail etc. Hell, tires and rims can sometimes be a whole afternoon lol

You generally seeing a ‘warmer’ look with wax and a glass/wet look with ceramics?

Agreed. If you like more work. Wax is for you. :-)

Money maybe. Not time. You’ll have to wax every 3-6 months at a minimum to have the same level of protection.

My car is coated with IGL ceramic. I certainly don’t want to strip that off. I want to layer on top of it.... So...wash, dry, premier? It was just applied last week.
