My First Production Freebie Detail - 2007 Jeep Rubicon

Since I love to detail as a hobby and also as stress relief from running a business, I occasionally will clean up and detail a family or friend’s car. I only do a few of these a year and these are done for free and only as a gift to people who appreciate what goes into my details. For those of...

    Advice on Small Pad selection

I'll look into these. Not real familiar with their pads yet. I have a white one that I bought and haven't tried yet. sounds pretty good based on your comment Yes, in general I do like denser pads that don't soak up a lot of product. The buff and shine look interesting. I use that brand for my...

    Advice on Small Pad selection

I need to stock up on small pads and could use some advice. I have re-tasked by GG6 to be my official small pad machine. I'm an enthusiast detailer with about 8 years experience so have good working knowledge of equipment, product and pads. I had been using 4 inch pads but now it looks like the...

    Freshly Repainted Tailgate

EvolutionDetail - I had the same scenario a few months ago. I had someone do a budget respray on certain panels so in addition to the hazing from their buffer I had some orange peel. I wanted to do some correction but also wanted protection. Used M100 with denim pads, M205 to clean it up and...

Dtcjem - I have the exact same PW. I swapped out the hose and got a 50' hose. Also, put quick-connects on the hose-unit and hose-gun. YOu could do the same with another shorter gun as well. Additionally, I cut a short piece of garden hose for the water hookup and put the quick-connect on the...

    No More Love for Surbuf?

I offered up a bunch of these last year on the forum when I was thinning my stash and couldn't get any takers. It's not that they didn't work, it's that I tried out some LC purple thin foam wool and got extreme cut with better finish. But there are so many combo's to try and it sounds like you...

    why rinseless

Yes, but for some reason I never thought of folding the towel again. If not really dirty I try to get two passes per side - one on the front edge and one on the back part, but it can be clumsy to do. That's why I love these forums - I get to implement great ideas from people who detail on a...

thanks for the great tip. This will allow me a few more passes from the same towel.

    why rinseless

It's easier to use in hot climates as you don't have to worry about water or soap drying on the car before you get to it. ( think 115 degree dry hot summer temps ) Additionally, if you only have short bursts of time to clean the car you can do it in stages. It once took me 5 trips to the garage...

Wolfgang Uber RW - this stuff is good!

Thanks for the offer. Hey, I bought some CarPro Denim pads to knock down the orange peel on some resprayed panels. If you ever need to borrow just let me know. they are pretty amazing for the proper situation. Also still have a half gallon of OCW if you every want to swing by for a refill!
